We visited Baan Thai for the first time and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food, the service, and the cozy atmosphere. Here’s what we ordered and how we felt about each dish: • Chicken Skewers Super juicy and well-marinated, with just the right amount of char. The flavor was simple but satisfying — a perfect starter. • Massaman Lamb Tacos One of the most unique dishes we tried! The lamb was incredibly tender and full of that rich, spiced Massaman flavor, paired surprisingly well with the soft taco shell. A fusion twist that really works. • Wok Fried Beans Crisp, garlicky, and just the right amount of seasoning. A great veggie option that didn’t feel like an afterthought — we’d happily order it again. • Thai Nachos So fun! Crunchy, flavorful, with a mix of Thai herbs and toppings that made it way more exciting than regular nachos. Great for sharing. • Lettuce Wrap Light, fresh, and refreshing. The filling was flavorful but not too heavy — a great contrast to the richer dishes.

Every dish was beautifully plated, and we loved how each had its own identity but still felt cohesive as a meal.

Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and very welcoming (thank you Jamie!). The restaurant has a warm, relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay longer.

They wouldn't seat us or serve us when the restaurant was practically empty because I had a child they thought was unsuitable for the restaurant. We went to Liberty Kitchen and got seated immediately and had a beautiful dinner and they treated my son well at Liberty Kitchen. Baan Thai servers and line management were so disrespectful!! On principle, I don't recommend anyone go there with children. THAT RESPONSE IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO COVER UP. WE WENT BY THE RESTAURANT AGAIN AN HOUR LATER AND SAW IT STILL EMPTY. THE TABLES WERE NOT RESERVED. WHEN WE WERE THERE, WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD BE 20 MINUTES TO SEAT US AND WE LEFT SIMPLY BECAUSE WE KNEW EXACTLY WHY THEY WERE NOT SEATING US IMMEDIATELY AND WOULDN'T EVEN IN 20 MINUTES. IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY WERE ACTING COY AND ALL EMPLOYEES BEING VERY AWKWARD WITH US WHEN THEY TOLD US IT WOULD BE 20 MINTUES. We just had a horrible experience with this restaurant (Langford branch). We ordered online through their website. There were some stock issues so they needed to change some items which was fine. We paid through their website and were told it would arrive an hour later. An hour and a half later still nothing. Opened front door and saw some spilled food out on the curb so looks like whoever was delivering got to our house, dropped some of it and then just left without either delivering or telling us. Rang Baan Thai back to find out what was going on and were told that we needed to contact Doordash about the missing food, there was nothing they could or would do, and no redelivery was planned (even though we ordered and paid through Baan Thai). Eventually get a text 1hr40mins after original order that our order has been cancelled. Neither the restaurant, nor doordash offered anything as an apology or explained the complete lack of communication about the mystery missing food.
