Pho Vy Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Langford

Pho vy Langford had been our favourite Viet restaurant in Langford until tonight. We had ordered online for pick up thru skip the dishes (pho vy ) does not have a online order option thru a website. Upon arriving to pick up our food I was met from the older lady working saying my order had already been picked up. She said Kathleen had already picked up the order. I told her that couldn’t be since I was here to get it and she was at home. She then insinuated that I was lying. She went on about when someone comes in to pick up the food and gives the name then they give them the food. They even asked I show a photo of my wife which of course wasn’t the person that picked up the food. Now how could someone have our name and order number and be able to pick up our food? Maybe because they have the pick ups setting at the front door with a name on the bag? Throughout this entire ordeal this lady is upset at both myself (not sure why) and skip the dishes not once taking any blame for handing out my order of which I’ve already paid to the wrong person. Eventually I was able to get a refund from skip. I would like to say a younger fellow was great during this issue as he tried his best to find a solution to this problem. The fact that our food was not there is not an issue for me but getting upset at me for a mistake made by the restaurant and not owning up to the error is so poor. Suffice to say we will not return to the Langford restaurant nor recommend it to anyone. This is too bad because the food there is pretty good but there are plenty of other viet restaurants in Langford that will give much better...

Worst experience at the Belmont location. Have gone here three times to support local business and the food is good. This time I was berated by one of the staff when I asked about the total amount. There was a large discrepancy compared to the total I was told over the phone. She told me that I was to “look on the website!!! You figure it out. You pay”. Well that is what I had done after I had called prior to order to ENSURE I had the correct menu at menu Victoria. Which is where I was instructed by the woman who was also very short with me on the phone. What is on the website was not what I was being charged. I simply was looking for a breakdown of the total and to hear an explanation of why it would be different.

I ordered a #13. On the web the price is $7.50 i was charged $9.70

#33 web price $11.50 charged $14.95

#35 web price $11.50 charged $14.95

#11 web price $4.25 charged $5.00

I would have been totally ok with being told prices had to increase etc. I understand restaurants are suffering greatly right now. But I certainly do not appreciate the hostility. She was pointing to her head telling me to figure it out so I asked for a written bill to ensure I could simply understand the price. I am so disappointed that I had to be spoken to so rudely in front of all your restaurant patrons.

Pho Vy has been a staple for me in Victoria. They must of known I was moving to the west shore cause they immediately opened up their Longford location when I did 😀. Today I had lunch there and was so grateful of their service. The servers danced around the restaurant ensuring everyone dining was having a perfect lunch. For the first time at a restaurant in a while, I felt like they actually wanted us there. My food was great (of course!) and at the end, I couldn't find my credit card, I felt really bad and left them my driver's license and said I'd go home and find it and come right back.
