Nice spot in Coquitlam in the heart of the Tri Cities area. I happen to live across the street from the Lake so I frequently walk and use the area all the time.
The area is easily accessible from the Evergreen Line at the Lafarge Douglas Station located right there,and also bus stops close by as well.
Lafarge Lake/Town Center is a nice area with 7 playing fields from Soccer Football Softball Baseball Rugby and Field hockey and a main stadium as well.
Around the area is of course Lafarge Lake with a nice walkway around the Lake,and keep your eyes open for Barny the Beaver and his Home...there's a a nice outdoor stage for music and other events as well. The area hosts a big Canada Day celebration with live music and food and things for the kids as well, also a beer garden also. With Canada Day Fireworks to end the evening off shortly after around 10pm. Also other events held there as well Caribbean Days with Food trucks also, And can't forget about the Christmas Lights display during the Holiday season that are displayed all around the Lake. There's also a couple Concession Stands one closer to the Stage area and picnic area, and has Rocky Point Ice Cream there as well. And the second Concession Stand is located right in front of the Stadium front Gates.
There's also washrooms throughout the area and change rooms as well as washrooms by the main stadium also.

There is a skate park which is located on the east side with hoops, tennis courts and archery range just up the road a few lots of parking is available. Lafarge Lake is located beside Coquitlam town centre park which has several hardball diamonds , softball , soccer fields, Grass hockey, and Percy Perry stadium,along with a concession stand that is open for most events. Across the street is Douglas college, Pinetree secondary school, and the aquatic center which is always fun. SkyTrains last stop in Coquitlam is Lafarge station. West coast express station is located across the Barnet highway... approximately a 20 minute walk. Coquitlam center mall is a 10 min. walk. The only Quiznos in Coquitlam is meters away.
