Best place in town to get a Spanish latte without having to drive all the way to the city. I come from Maple Ridge about once a week for one. My only wish is if the menu board could show the variety of syrups and customizable options you have. I am a big fan of the flavoured syrups so I was blown away when I realized that there are about 15-20 ways I can drink my latte!! My personal favourite is the spicy caramel hot chocolate Or the orange raspberry hot chocolate! Now I will say that this place could up its customer service. However I would like to mention the amazing service I received on Sunday October4th. It was a busy little morning there and it was clear that the one girl at the till was in training. I felt horrible for making her type in my sometimes complicated, customized order. But the girl training her was great and on key! I didn't grab any names but let me just say that girl that was doing the training knows service and you can tell that she takes pride in it! The girl in training inevitably had many questions and not once did she seem frustrated in any way when she would have to stop making drinks to help the girl out. There was a line up building and she still managed to help the trainee, and ask me how my day was while making my drinks and even managing to make sure those amazing baked goods weren't burning in the oven. She always made sure a guest was acknowledged when they walked in and let them know that it would just be a moment. It's really all those little things that add up and starts a person's day off great. Nothing worse than getting horrible service first thing in the morning, it can really set the mood for the say and make all the difference in the desire to come back! I really hope I get served by her next time too! So good job girls! I will see you next...
Read moreI always come there. I usually like everything. Today was super weired. I know they close at 5, and the girls when I was buying my tea told me they close at 5, but they started closing actively at 4:40-4:45 which was very disruptive, and at 4:50 told me I have 2 minutes left. I mean I understand we are talking 10 minutes, but I came there for 30 minutes to enjoy me tea, which I got to enjoy for about 10 minutes after that was in the middle of closing shift. I understand it might be not girls’ fault, so the coffee shop should indicate they close earlier than 5 pm. On the other hand I come there for 3 years and have been staying till 5 many many times and other employees were always nice and only reminded that they close at 5 and never rushed me away 10 minutes before 5.
Also a suggestion: would be awesome if you had tea misto or something, an option to have tea with a little of steamed milk, not london fog.
Thanks. I am really sorry that my last experience there was so unpleasant that I almost don’t want...
Read moreStumbled into Cafe Divano by my nose initially... Fresh and authentically hand made croissants and baked goods, artisan style temtatiin all visible just in passing. Further more, gorgeous and vibrant art work papered the walls with class and warmth.
Later that day, upon entry, greeted by great humans and attentive service... Thrbselctions are as u smelt, stunningly beautiful and simplistic also many more selections. Aromatic selections of tea and visibly crafted coffees by qualified barrisras.
Next day.... The single best bottom of a croissant I've enjiyed. Many years in cuisine have taught me to stick to simple basics... It's obvious to me that this joint is my new common ground and hub.
Single best find in British Columbia to date. Come... Enjoy... Share... Eat.. Great to find something new, fresh and beautiful.
Thank you for being a part of the journey. It'd the Magic... Buon Appettito!
