T&T is my favourite Asian supermarket in Coquitlam. I use to go shopping every other day or whenever there is friend coming over for dinner. I love their fresh veggies and fresh seafood. I went shopping again on January 28th. As usual, I bought a fresh fish and a crab again to treat myself for a nice dinner. I also bought a lot of other stuff which caused the shopping basket very full. After checking out, I pulled the shopping basket out of store. I put the light shopping bag with the fresh seafood on top of the basket to avoid seafood being crushed. After I unloaded my stuff, I found the bag with seafood was missing. I immediately went back to the store and ask whether I forgot at the checkout counter. A T&T staff person told me that he saw my bag was fallen out from the basket and saw a lady picked up. She told him that she saw me went out and will bring out and give back to me. I said I didn’t see anyone coming for me. So I went out to look again. There was no one out there trying to give the bag to me. I came into the mall lobby again and asked the staff to help me go out and identify the lady. He did and said she was gone. He said she is a fat Asian woman. I was so disappointed and had to go for my next appointment. I went back to shop at T&T again today and want to buy some fresh seafood sine I didn’t have it a couple of days ago. I just feel that T&T management should know my experience and let their staff know if such thing happens again, the staff should take the ownership of fallen bag and bring to customer service desk. So when customer comes back to looking for their lost items, he/she could get back. They should not depend on someone nice to trace their customer to return. I went to customer service desk and talked to the lady in charge of customer service. She was very nice and understanding. Taking all the notes and said that she will do some research. She asked me to do my shopping first and go back to her when I finish my shopping. So after I finish shopping, I went back to her counter, she said they did see the activities of that time period and I had a loss bag almost fallen out (it might happened just outside of the glass door). She will give me the credit back. I wasn’t expecting this. I just want this not to happen again. I really appreciate all her help and she went out extra mile to help. Even though it’s not a big deal, but I think we need some good customer service stories during this pandemic lockdown time. I don’t mind take the time to write this review for T&T.
Thanks,
Your local and...
Read moreThis place is prejudice.. I find that I have Been overlooked several times as customer because I am not Asian...Today again I am waiting for service at the live fish counter. I am waiting basket with crab in it. The fish guy is just fishing up with someone.. All of a sudden this Asain lady runs up to the front and starts speaking Asain the the fish guy..he starts to serve her. This other guy Asain standing beside the lady speaks up and says that he was next. I at that point (non Asain) speak up and say no actually I was next... So the fish guy points at the lady and says you #1. The Asain guy#2. Someone behind me became #3 and then I somehow became the last #4.. I said are u kidding. I was here first.. The fish guy just went on serving and didn't blink and eye.. I left the crab and my buggy of food behind... I went to the customer service counter.. A lady with the last name of Cheung. I told her what had happened , she found my experience at the store amusing and laughed and said "yeah I heard that before". This made me more upset... I asked to speak to the store manger. First he was not in.. Then they paged someone. In Asain... The customer service lady said oh there is the store manger... This guy looked like the janitor... Old shirt. Messy hair.. Keys hanging off the side of this pants... They said talk to him... Which I did and he said sorry ...but I guarantee you he was no store manger . So I am sure the customer service lady was having another laugh. If you are non Asian. Go spend your good money somewhere else. Cause we are treated...
