Dec 14, 2024- We rented the function room for a Christmas Party for 75 people mostly families. This was our 2nd year renting the same hall for 2 consecutive years. Sadly it felt tooooo restricted. It didnt feel that way last year because the Manager before was more considerate thats why we booked again this year. Aside from the hall we rented 2 rooms directly above the hall so we dont disturb anyone with the noise during the party and 4 more rooms for our friends/guests. In short, I helped in a way with the sales for that day but the least Id expect from the Manager, David were the words he emailed me That he was a little disappointed with me just because we didnt leave the premises right on time. The booking was for 5pm to 11pm only, we started soo late 6:30 and the program finished around 10pm so that left everyone with just 1 hour to dance & party. The supervisor/guy on duty that night wanted us to turn off the music right away but the sound technician left for a bit & we didtn know which one to unplug. Hence 10 more mins with music. He was soo arrogant & rude. You can check his face on camera to see his face & expression. We asked if he can give us a bit more time as we still have to clean up get rid of the trash & decorations & uninstall the sound system. Once we were done, we sat down took a breather there was only 8 of us left in the hall, one was playing the accoustic guitar not attached to any speaker or what just relaxing with us then 12:30am came the supervisor guy who said "You need to get out now, then we asked politely "Can we stay for a bit more Sir? just sit down on the hall listening to guitar? He said " I dont want 5 mins, I dont want 10 mins, I WANT IT NOW!!! OUT NOW!!" It felt like " After you got our money, now were useless to you now and u just kick us out" :(
We were hoteliers before in Philippines having worked at a famous Hotel back home for soo many years, We know how to treat guests even if they have stayed longer than they should. But they couldve been more considerate.
Honestly 6 hours use of a function room is not even worth the $787 we paid.. and the 6 rooms we booked that we used from 1am to 11am.
Thank you wouldve been appreciated as wether they like it or now, I helped the hotel that day and its not like I got a referral for that. I got nothing. $0 plus the word "disappointed" & the threat that we might not be able to book in the future.
Worse is that, the day after i realized that i forgot my bag of christmas decorations with curtain lights inside & other decors and when i called the front to ask, the told me that they threw it away already because somebody told them to throw it away. I never bothered to complain only this time because I received an em,ail from the Manager David.
Theres no way were going back there. But heres hoping that this hotel will be a little more...

Called the hotel directly, spoke with Mary. Mary exhibited what I was expecting, and really needed to hear at that time. A cool, calm and happy voice that could provide everything I needed during my call. She listened to me when I asked for a quiet room, and told her how I usually asked for the top floor to ensure that. Mary suggested that the top floor may not be the best as there would be more noise audible from the heating vents due to thei proximity to the roof. She suggested the next floor down and far away from the elevators. That simple action of adding those notes to my reservation has removed my usual apprehension I carry before a trip like this.
The bar has been set and if the rest of my experience at your hotel equals it, I will be most pleased.
Thank you Mary!
Part two of the review...
I went, I saw and I slept. What more can you ask for, when your expectations are met. Honestly, I wasn't fully awake the first morning. The staff manning the breakfast area helped me through it like champs!
Fresh made waffles (with dried cranberries and LOTS of syrup), a plain bagel (wish it could have been toasted), cinnamon twist and the obligatory apple for fiber. There was more food, but I couldn't think anymore without a good coffee. And yes, the coffee they had made was surprisingly good.
If asked, I could offer some suggestions for various other types of foods, but being a Hilton, I am sure they did their due diligence to find out what the general public like and is sustainable for the business.
The check-in process was smooth, although I wasn't able to complete it by just using the app. It told be there was an issue and I needed to see the front desk to complete the check-in process.
Using the app as a room key (Bluetooth enabled lock) was very convenient. I have not done this type of thing before, and usually "don't like change", but honestly I would use it again if available.
The rooms themselves were not immaculate in their construction and upkeep. Some missing grout on the floor tile, over paint marks on the ceiling and VERY large grey bathroom doors (with some paint chips) made it feel a little utilitarian.
They room was clean, comfortable and "solid". If you're wondering what I mean by "solid", be thankful you don't know. Those that do know, will like this place.
The checkout was friendly (how are they so chipper that early in the morning!!) and smooth (insert cringe-worthy Dad joke here about smooth peanut butter), can't say much more than that.
This place met my expectations, didn't hide behind a veneer of something it wasn't and I arrived and left feeling calm and rested. I wasn't looking for more than that, so maybe I biased myself. I would be...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with the hotel. I had a family member come from outside Canada with 2 kids, so I booked the 2 weeks Isolation period in the hotel. To be honest when I went to make the payment the girl at the reception sounded so rude and condescending when I was asking her a couple of questions about refund policies. I had second thoughts but my family member was due to arrive and I simply had no time to find another hotel. That should have been a red flag for me though. She asked me for my CC info to put on file, told her when the guests were checking in she should put in their info. I was just there to pay the hotel bill and that was it. she said OK. I never followed up with them if she provided a CC for them. To my greatest shock about a week into the stay, the hotel debited me a substantial amount of Money. I honestly thought it was an error from my bank because I never gave them my CC info Right? well turns out their machine recorded my CC info and then they went ahead and debited me. without my knowledge. Like how is that not fraud? Worse still I had already paid the hotel bills in FULL, so what was the debit for? Well they said it was "an error" SERIOUSLY???. This was the first of the month, I had bills coming out from that CC and just like that they took out the money. When I spoke to the manager- Michael. All he could say to me was to call my vendors and ask for an extension to take out my bills ( in his defense he did apologize but he gave me no explanation whatsoever how that could happen), because apparently it was going to be a while before the refund was complete( its actually the 9th and I still haven't seen the refund). It was a very upsetting experience most especially the fact that they stored my CC info on file after I expressly told them not to and they went ahead and took out money from it, again without informing me. As for the hotel stay, well my family member was there on isolation so she was indoors through out, she even had to clean the room herself, I expected some kind of discount for that but oh well. And then after that the passive aggressiveness started, they would bring breakfast that could make you weep. she would have to call them again again to ask for things they normally just give and which again was Part of the Breakfast we paid for. We just could not wait to get out of there when the isolation was over. I normally don't do reviews but I had to share this because it still is very upsetting to me. by the way I still haven't seen my...
