although The room was overpriced because it was very damaged, it was a decent size. Night / 6am staff was very easy to talk to, and reasonable, day time staff, on the other hand, was very pushy and rude. I admit I slept way into the afternoon ( 12:30) and I was suppose to go speak with front desk at 11 but I had been driving all night I checked in at 6am and needed to walk my 5 month old puppy and shower before I could go to sleep. The door didnt close properly and needs to be slammed in order to stay closed, bed had a huge stain under the brown throw at the end, there were stains all over the carpets along with cigarette burn marks everywhere. I spoke over the phone with a woman at the front desk at 12:43 and informed her I would be staying another night she hung up on me, 45 minutes later a man knocked on my door and told me I needed to change rooms I told him I would rather stay where I was, he told me that they had a reservation for that room I told him that isn't right and that I was already in the room and told the woman I was staying and he told me that they made a mistake and its too bad I still had to move. I said ok, give me a bit to gather my things and finish getting ready for my day."" All while my puppy was trying to eat my foot. (Very painful and frustrating) I closed my door with a slam ... 28 minutes later, "a plain-clothed police officer!!" knocked on my door, showing his credentials, I opened the door and asked, "Can I help you? He then stated that the front desk would like to know how much longer I was going to be? I laughed unfazed by the tactics of this strange motel and responded I am going as fast as possible. He thanked me and walked away. It's now 3:12 pm and I am still sitting in the parking lot infront of the room door that they rushed me out of for a so called reservation and they haven't even attempted to start cleaning it or anything. This is the strangest motel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Very very...

The negative reviews are not an exaggeration. It is the worst possible place you can stay. The room was horrid and the person at the front desk was worse. They do not care about you or their rooms.
I changed my mind about staying shortly after seeing the room. The person at the front desk was quick to resort to lies and deception when I asked for a refund. She told me they gave me the last room and had to deny other customers because I took it -- despite the completely empty parking lot and numerous rooms available to book. She would mutter insults under her breath while giving any reason to deny a refund, such as the fact I moved the mattress and used the soap.
I've stayed in much nicer places for cheaper - to the point that I would consider this place a scam. This is not a budget option because it is not livable.
The owners maintain the rooms and property at a less than minimum level. Any repair work or "renovation" to the room was clearly rushed by unskilled people. The level of detail the "cleaners" have is zero - stains, hair, or dust on everything - from the toilet to the tub to the sheets and floors. Every surface, lightswitch, and drawer is absolutely filthy. Shoes stay on. Don't touch anything. Check mattress for bugs. Wash your hands. Parts of the room look like they have not been washed in 50 years. Window screen is slashed. If I am not kept awake by the idea of someone breaking in then I will be by the idea of bed bugs.
It is hard to describe just how filthy, sketchy, and scammy this place feels. The vibe is off before you even finish parking. In the end I got less than half the room fee back and left before I got some kind of infection. It was that bad.
Just don't ever go here and you will be better...
Read moreIf you are looking for a comfortable bed to sleep on, excellent heating, no bugs and a cheap rate for south Edmonton, then this may be the place to go. As I read other reviews, I too could related to most of the complaints however, as this motel is old and is in desperate need of renovations!!
The walls are all scuffed up with black marks by the entranceway. Stains found on parts of the carpet and discoloration on the decorative bed covering.
Toilet seat had a huge cigarette burn on it. It costs $12 to buy a new toilet seat at Walmart to replace it. The washroom towels were mediocre in size with no fluffiness. No bath mat towel was provided. And only two small packages of shampoo were offered along with two small white soap bars.
Bathroom sink filled up fast with a super slow drain. Asked front desk person for the sink to be "snaked" but was late told that Draino was used, and that the drain pipe is 'small' as the reason for the slow drain.
The toilet paper holder was broken off and has not been replaced. You get one roll of toilet paper that you have to place on the counter or bathtub rim.
The curtain drapes need to be dusted and steam cleaned. And the lamp shades need to be replaced due to damage.
The flat screen TV was sufficient and has streaming capabilities, as well as cable. The remote control for the TV was in good shape.
The parking lot needs to be cleaned of garbage.
This might be a good alternative for a one night stay, like I had. I brought Lysol wipes to help sanitize areas that are often neglected by cleaning staff.
I chose this motel so that I could check-in earlier than 3:00pm, like most hotels in the south side. But honestly, I think I would pay the extra $30 for a more modern suite, better customer service, a pool...
