Such an uncomfortable place and now one of us has really bad food poisoning. Whoever the older girl with the brown hair in a bun was Aug 11 late evening needs to learn better customer service and an attitude adjustment. I got pb burger, ceasar salad, and the pasta salad that was supposed to have tomato and celery in it, I got 1 HALF tomato and maybe 2 pieces of celery. Partner got the bison burger, onion rings and waffle fries, and we shared muscles cause "there was a deal" We tipped what we did because she only came to check on us twice and yes the pb chicken burger was good but everything else was mediocre and we are now questioning what made my partner sick.
After we paid, the waitress IMMEDIATELY went and flashed our receipt to other employees and blabbing to others about what we tipped. And on top of that, after showing coworkers the receipt, she came over and reached over us and started grabbing everything as i was finishing my drink after making a snippy passive aggressive comment about if we were done. We stayed maybe an extra 5 mins after paying because I had a drink to finish and I had to CHUG the rest of my drink cause she was literally forcing us out with her actions and off putting attitude. I tip based off service, quality and effort put into the food, and employees attitudes, not the amount spent on the food. It is earned, not guaranteed twice your hourly wage in a tip if you didnt provide proper service or if most of the food was overpriced for meh quality.
(The bartenders were doing similar to another customer also to mention. Acting unprofessional about the customers request)
The food is not worth what we paid and like other reviews have said within the last 6 months, this place is going downhill and is not worth the cost or visit. We went a year ago and it was fine, now, we aren't coming back. If I could take back a tip, I would in this case because after what that woman did, and the now food posioning my partner has, I shouldn't have even gave a tip at all. If anything I need a full refund.
It was $5 on a $120 bill. 2 alc drinks, plain unseasoned sides, an overpriced appetizer, and some burgers. If you come here, can almost guarantee the employees are going to be talking bs about you and/or another customer in front of you and/or everyone else if they don't like something you did, you are changing your mind, or you make even the smallest complaints about something. You might also leave with fricken food poisoning. Not worth it and just go somewhere...
Read moreRude and uninviting server... Your establishment should be accepting of everyone. Just like it was one year ago. Truly, why did it need to change? Why is your staff encouraged to treat people who could not be less of a threat to society, with so much disrespect? I have the same body, same face, same heart and same healthy status as I did one year ago. And one year ago, you would have accepted anyone who walked through your doors. You and your staff unfortunately must be unaware (no fault of your own) that the passports were not set in place to stop the transmission of the virus. Vice President, Public Health and Chief Medical Health Officer for Vancouver Coastal Health, Patty Daly: "the vaccine passport requires people to be vaccinated to do certain discretionary activities such as, go to restaurants, movies, gyms; not because these places are high risk, we're not actually seeing transmission in these places, its really to create an incentive to improve our vaccination coverage". This video interview with her can be found online. Canadian business owners need to be aware of this so they can in tern feel relief, and be rejoiced to once again be able to open up their business to all citizens from around the world. Just like they once did, not so long ago.
Thank you for taking the time. I hope you take an extra minute...
Read moreWorst place in Fernie. We waited 80 minutes for our food, which are just burgers by the way, nothing complicated. The waitress walked right by me when I went to inquire about our meal after waiting an hour. She couldn’t even stop for one minute to talk with me. The place was only half full, so not too busy that she couldn’t spare the time.
When the food came, the burgers were burnt (over charred) and stone cold in the middle (not raw, just cold from having been cooked 20 minutes before being platted). The salad was wilted from being on the hot plate for so long and the deep fried pickle was also stone cold. I honestly couldn’t even choke it down.
The guys behind us just walked out.
This experience explains why they had seats available while every other restaurant in Fernie had a 90 minute wait list. Trust me, you’re better off eating at Dairy Queen or waiting the 90 minutes for a decent restaurant. Oh, and we aren’t talking about $10 burgers. These...
