Golden Visitor Centre — Attraction in Golden

The sanitation ($7.00) flushing hose does not have a connector to attach longer hose. The drinking water pressure is extremely low, takes for ever to fill an RV. The wifi hotspot is not connected to the internet. The line up to speak to a human is too long. Altogether an extremely un welcoming experience. Go to the Centex /Mountain Mart instead the sanidump is $5:00 and the WiFi is free and super fast and they have a nice laundry. 4 stars because the washrooms are very clean and there is a fast food creperie in the vicinity that's really good.

Missing a star because we had to coax out the answers from the person on what to do in and around Golden. Its very likely that you won't find any information more than what you already know. There are tons of brochures where you can get the information yourself here... but that's it.

They people at the Golden Visitor's Center were very helpful. They took our photo with the bear. She spent over 15 minutes telling us about the area and the sights to see in town. Then she informed us of places to see on the rest of our trip, how to read the guide, and places she thought we might enjoy since we are from Nebraska, USA. Extremely helpful.
