Bluebird Café — Restaurant in Golden

Been in and out of this cafe for over a year now since moving locally, as much as I want to support local business the quality for cost ratio does not exist here.

If you absolutely have to come here than your bare basic drip coffee is a great choice, as well as their Panini'(not bad at all!)

Otherwise anything with egg is made from egg-mix, left uncovered in a refrigerated display box where all the food gets that awesome fridge taste all through it.

Don't order coffees with any alternative milks, 5/5 attempts have been burnt milks for me.

Generally just recommend McDonald's over this cafe, but I will endeavour to try again every couple of months to see if it improves.

Have stopped into this cafe many times passing through Golden. Yesterday, the service and coffee were appalling. We hit a busy time, waited 20 mins patiently for a big group to order food and drink, waited for them to receive all of their items, being the only coffee yet to make, all three ladies proceeded to stand and chat (unknowingly trashing the place we were from to U.S. tourists) after a few minutes we asked if my coffee was still coming and were met with “yeah, we had a lot of orders”. The same lady proceeded to wipe down all of the benches prior to starting to make the coffee, the milk was burnt so bad the latte was too hot to hold the cup. Although, by this point it felt intentional. 30 minutes for a burnt latte and cold brew was sad. We will try somewhere...

We came from Calgary to stay at an Airbnb for a few nights in the beautiful town of Golden and we decided to grab a late breakfast from Bluebird Cafe before heading home and OMG are we ever glad we did … the coffee my husband had was fabulous and my latte was also fantastic 😊 … we decided on a breakfast burrito each to go … the friendly lady heated them for us and they were filled so full of quality ingredients and we also took a ham and cheese croissant sandwich to go and a turkey bacon sandwich … EVERYTHING was not only super fresh it was DELICIOUS … We love local hidden gems like this 😊 A +++ … the chocolate brownie was mouthwatering too and hit the spot for my sweet tooth … Thank you for putting out such well thought out amazing food 🙏 Golden is...
