Great overall experience, transports you back on a time machine. If you like the hum of tram traction motors, the braking action on wheels and the sweet clangs of wheel on rail, this one delivers. Took one star out because I didn't see many helpful signs guiding the visitor to the Whyte Ave terminus. There's a large car dealership in front of the boarding area and I mistook the dealership office for access to the "station" (there is none btw other than a boarding area). Read moreMay 31st. Went to website, saw train schedule, saw it was open, went with partner. Sign at station said they were open. Waited 30 mins, no train. Called their phone number, no answer. Tried 311, they said it's running. Waited about 45 minutes after a scheduled stop before giving up.
I love these trains, they are painstakingly restored, and are a beautiful experience to enjoy. However, this isn't the first time it's been listed as open, but hasn't been running.
I get that it's run by volunteers, but seriously: if you are going to be closed for a day, or close early. PUT UP SIGNS, NOTICES ON YOUR WEBPAGE, AND CHANGE...
Read moreI had my wedding ceremony on the streetcar. The whole experience was phenomenal - the booking, the wedding day/ceremony, etc. All the guests were very impressed and LOVED the experience. I talked with Dustin for the planning and he provided all the information needed, answered all my questions (some twice), was friendly, etc. I could not say enough good things about this place. If you are thinking of having any event on the streetcar do not hesitate. It is totally worth the money (not as expensive as you think). You will not be disappointed! Best...
