Great place for a picnic--& and an education! Bottom of the stairs on Sask Dr, or there's close parking off Queen Elizabeth Drive, w/chair access to some areas. Lots of small hills and more private areas, too. The many art installations have 3 First Nations languages plus English. More traffic noise by edges of the park, but definitely a mini oasis, tucked within Edmonton. (Ok, a lawn mowing would reduce the mosquito population - bring some repellant!!!) EDIT: came to watch YEG's fireworks? The northwest hill, with a view of the Waltedale, has the best views in town. Sadly, this is no longer a best kept secret, so GET THERE EARLY...

You will find there is a strong connection to culture, values, and place. To be honest, even without reading the signs the art is enjoyable, beautiful, and welcoming. A spot I look forward to coming time...
