Beautiful walking and biking path! It takes about 30 minutes one way to walk from Victoria Road to Gordon Street. This path takes you over The Covered Bridge. Some people were fishing along the river. They have a couple of playgrounds along the path. There are portable toilets in those playgrounds. They have a covered picnic area with an open barbecue. The trees are beautiful and the path is peaceful. The path is covered with gravel. Shade: The path is sometimes in the shade, but usually in the open sun. Activities: They have a volleyball net with sand on the ground. Parking/Washrooms: There is a free parking lot when you turn off of Victoria Road to get into this park. There is also a portable toilet here.

The park is located along the Eramosa River, providing beautiful waterfront views and opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. It features walking and cycling trails that are popular for leisurely strolls and more vigorous exercise. The park is also equipped with picnic areas, playgrounds, and open green spaces, making it an ideal spot for family outings and gatherings. The serene environment and the presence of diverse wildlife make Eramosa River Park a cherished destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

I took my daughter for a walk through the park to look at the fairy doors. It was amazing how much joy it brought her. She loved looking high and low for them. With each one her excitement grew. I hope the city doesn't room them. They bring so much joy to kids who still believe in princess, fairies and unicorns.

This is a beautiful park, with some quiet little trails through the trees along the water. But despite being leash-free, this isn't particularly off-leash friendly. I went today for the first time because the city says it is dog friendly and off-leash. I passed three different groups who all had an issue with my dog being off leash. The first were there with a reactive dog on-leash who were visibly angry my dog was off leash there. The second group had two off leash dogs themselves, so I'm still not sure what the problem was... don't take your dogs to these places if you have an issue with off leash dogs.

Unfortunately I won't bring him back here. This wasn't nearly as welcoming as other parks in the city. We'll stick...

A placid engineered river with banks gradually naturalizing and some native plants and trees on the North side. The South side of the river, however, retains many native trees and plants. A long unused and dwindling embankment for an (electric) rail line follows the river here and makes it an easy hike between Gordon and Victoria Streets. One can rent a canoe in the summer months at "The Boathouse," a restaurant on the North side of the Speed river just East of Gordon Street. The paddle upstream from here onto the Eramosa River is easy and beautiful. The River is navigable without portaging for perhaps 4 kilometers. With the exception of one very shallow area it's easy to paddle...
