Titus Smith Memorial Park — Attraction in Halifax

Beautiful little park, GREAT for kids and anyone wanting to frolic safely outdoors on well-maintained grass. Has a NICE playground for the younger set, which is quite well used. Good blend of trees and grass, with picnic spots... and it has the BEST example of "Glacial pavement" in all of Halifax!!! Beautiful large rock, polished by the most recent ice age long ago, showing interesting metamorphic geological features. Lots of fun for the children in both summer and winter: the smaller folk use it as a sliding area. Great small park in the middle of the city. Playground for bigs and littles and the field is well maintained which is nice. I wish it was slightly more fenced in near the side streets rather than just the main road but am thankful there is somewhat of a barrier. Great community park. In addition to the park, nice landscape to sit in the sun (or under the shade of one of the many mature trees)
