Brothers Punjabi Flavors - An authentic Indian restaurant — Restaurant in Halifax

Prices are wrong on google listing, they do not honour those prices. The menu on here is from over a year ago before they changed their prices. $55.45 plus tax for Chicken Biryani, Lamb Korma, Mixed Vegetables, one order of garlic Naan and one order of Raita. They upsized the order of Raita without asking, and I found out after that their debit machines tip options are based on the entire amount of the bill including tax. My total bill was $73.33 after tip, but when I ordered I calculated a $59.09 bill based on The same tip percentage. All that being said… the food was amazing. The Lamb Korma was very light on the lamb for $17.99, but it was absolutely delicious, earthy, rich. Classic with the delicious, fresh Garlic Naan. Mixed Veggies were spicy and packed with flavour, that with the Raita on top is exactly the flavour I was craving. The Chicken Biryani was the best part, perfectly greasy with big chunks of chicken throughout. This was some of the best Indian food myself and my girlfriend have ever had. We added cooked chicken to the leftover sauce from the lamb, and finished all the food. It was a lot, but we couldn’t stop eating. We ordered chat papdi from brothers store and we got stapeler in that. We went there to show it to them and asked for a manager but the employee girl said there is no manager today. So we told the guy who was at the brothers grocery store insead and he was apologetic about it but they didn’t do anything to correct it, they just said sorry. They offered another one to us but we were not able to eat that because you never know what will get in that one as well. It was so ridiculous experience. Another thing i want to mention is that we got chole kulche as well, before we ordered it we asked the girl how is the chole kulche made and we told her this is what we want. May be she didn’t hear us properly and said yes thats the way it is made( chole are stuffed in the bread, they are not served separately) so when we came home and checked it, it was the combo which was served separately with chole and kulche seperate. Yesterday , my friends and I had a dine in as well as take out from the restaurant. Dine-in Delhi style layered butter naan was the best. Please give some cutinary to the customers rather than serving like it’s a take out.

Take out We ordered chicken biryani for take out and to my surprise there was only one small boneless piece of chicken in the whole biryani. Cherry on the cake is that we ordered 2 biryani for take out and none of them had chicken in it and they charged us for chicken biryani.

Please don’t mess with orders especially last minute ones just because the restaurant was closing doesn’t mean that you will screw the order and give us vegetables biryani rather than...
