Silong Express — Restaurant in Halifax

Wanted to try them for the first time today, but the store’s opening times are not updated and they don’t even answer to calls. Had a child with us outside, waiting in the cold because on their website it said OPEN, when we got there it was closed!! What a disappointment!

Edit: I have been to Silong and made a couple of orders. Their food is simply amazing, the owner is accommodating and they are hard workers! They said that the first time we went there, they closed due to a massive party tray order, which they sometimes do because this place is family owned and no one was available to manage the restaurant. Very disorganized. Claimed to give a 15% discount if you pay cash but what's happening is that you are not paying the tax part. If they will just straightforward say that if you order via phone and pay cash, it is tax free than giving you confusing information of the 'discount part'. Also, when I went there to pick up my order, their store is CLOSED at the pick up time. We have to knock at their kitchen area and the lady unlocked the door and the worst part is that the food was not ready by the time I am picking it up. There were at least 3 people including myself waiting for our food to come out. Ended up an hour and half late while guests were so hungry for the food not being there. Terrible customer service. Extremely disappointed with the owner, who consistently fails to deliver on the promised timeline. The food was half-cooked and of poor quality, showing a complete lack of care. To make matters worse, the owner is unfair and lets their favorite customers jump the line, completely ignoring others. So, if you’re not one of their favorites, be prepared to wait for a long time. I will not return and definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone in Halifax or my friends.
