KFC — Restaurant in Halifax

Customer service was warm and inviting. From the moment I stepped into the establishment, they had a warm smile and a cheery attitude that made me smile right back. Even beyond the standard "service with a smile" shtick, they were inviting and polite. When I got back with my food, the fries were lukewarm...however, I will blame that on the cold, windy night rather than the establishment, as my home is a several minute walk away.

I ordered the Boneless Box, a meal with 3 chicken tenders, a personal popcorn chicken, a personal order of french fries, a side of your choice (I picked macaroni salad), and a soft drink of your choice (I went with Pepsi). The popcorn chicken was the perfect middle ground between crispy and soft, with delicious seasoning sealing the deal. Truth be told, the whole thing of popcorn chicken (no more than 8 pieces) was gone within a few minutes of me sitting down, as I had yet to eat today. The fries were fair, the potato flavor was nice and there was light seasoning.

The macaroni salad is the first I've had, truthfully, and so I can't really review it properly. I'm not here to pull things out of my rear, and so I'm not going to lie about that sort of thing. From a sample size of one, though, I can say it was alright. Not great, not bad, but okay. The chicken was great, crispy breading and tasty meat, as it should be...Albeit the actual breading itself was a little uneven. Though one piece appeared to be lacking breading, another was overly-coated in it! They were both delicious, though, so I won't hold that against anyone.

They also offered up to two dips, but I declined. The selection offered looks to be quite nice, though. As a final tidbit, wait times were basically non-existent (less than 10 minutes!), and the hours are very good and convenient. While fast food isn't necessarily a good thing...My experience proves why it isn't always a bad one either.

I give this KFC location a 4.5/5, though it will show here as a 5/5 due to how the rating...

I think it's worth noting that this reviewer going by the name of "Barry Macfarlane" is actually one of the employees (Scott) at this location using the identity of a customer (whom I know personally) who left a review on here ages ago. I think this speaks volumes of the quality of service, or lack there of, you're likely to receive at this particular location; Scott is routinely rude and demeaning towards his customers, both online and in-store. As a manager myself, this type of pathetic, self absorbed and downright petty display would result in immediate termination. For an employee to take it upon themselves to lash out at customers leaving honest feedback which could potentially help the establishment improve and grow is entirely unprofessional, damages the company's image and mission, and hurts the chances of customers returning, resulting in a decline in sales. And then to impersonate a customer and leave comments on their behalf? That's just downright bizarre. Scott clearly does not care about his position within the company as his attitude continuously displays, and is therefore a liability within the KFC family. Either he shapes up or it's time to bring in someone who hasn't lost their head...

NEVER WILL EAT HERE AGAIN! I've been eating from this location for roughly 20+ years and this place is just constantly serving disgusting food. I dont usually leave reviews like this but I'm sick of being ripped off with the poor quality meals. The chicken is so greasy and full of fat that it just soaks the bottom of the box and it practically falls apart when u lift it out of the box, chicken has no crisp the fries are always soggy and tastes like old stale fryer grease, the coleslaw and macaroni sides are always half liquid. I'm totally done with this place. Feb 9 at 7pm, no other customers in the store, i waited roughly 7mins until the clerk was done texting on her phone before she realized I was standing there waiting to place a order for a 4pc box meal,The quality of this meal was terrible and as stated above, the side salad cup was bigger than one of the piecies of chicken, 1 other full piece of chicken was almost all fat and gristle, breading half cooked and soggy and just way to greasy to consume.
