🌟🌟🌟🌟 “Charming local history spot with great story and character!”

Stepped into Maryboro Lodge Museum on a friendly afternoon visit and came away genuinely impressed. The restored heritage lodge is packed with character—from its original architectural details to thoughtfully curated displays that bring local history to life.

Highlights: • Beautiful ambiance: The cozy, wood-paneled rooms and period furnishings instantly transport you back in time. • Engaging exhibits: From antique household items to vintage photographs and stories of early settlers, each exhibit is well-labelled and interesting. • Well-maintained building: Clean, accessible, and full of small treasures around every corner.

What could be even better: • A few spots felt a touch dimly lit — more lighting or spotlighting could make certain displays pop. • A small café or refreshment corner would be a nice addition for visitors lingering awhile.

⸻

✅ Final take: If you love local history, heritage architecture, or simply enjoy a peaceful cultural experience, Maryboro Lodge Museum is a delightful stop. It offers depth, charm, and a warm welcome — perfect for anyone looking to enrich their visit...

We happened upon this museum on a Saturday morning and we were so pleasantly surprised! Outside they had so many fun interactive games and activities for children. There was a little food cart with lemonade and hot dogs. There was also music playing and it was such a fun way to spend a morning with our 2 year old. Everything was free (except the food) but we made sure to donate as we were so impressed with the variety and creativity of the activities. We didn't get a chance to explore inside the museum but all the staff were incredibly courteous...

Our happy place! Just perfect for kids and a family outing. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Games and crafts for kids, tea and coffee for adults. Outside there's a wide variety of games for kids and inside a collection of stories about the early days of Fenlon Falls. Don't forget to leave a donation so we can keep enjoying this gen of the Kawarthas every year. Open every day in July until Labour Day...

Maryboro Lodge Museum is a wonderful place by the beach to spend time with kids and family. The staff are amazing people. The museum has lot of ancient history for everyone. All the ancient materials were well maintained for next generation. Kids has lot of indoor and outdoor activities. The museum is by the beach, also there is splash pad near by to chill out. The entry to the museum is free.
