A Hidden Gem for Taiwanese Food Lovers in Toronto! I’m so happy to have discovered KuoHua, a fantastic supermarket for authentic Taiwanese food in Toronto! Although they’ve been around for a long time, I only recently found them—it’s a pity I didn’t know about this place sooner! On my first visit, I was thrilled to see such a wide selection of my favorite brands and high-quality products. I ended up buying a lot—soy sauce, vinegar, and other condiments; tea, drinks, and plenty of snacks; instant noodles, vermicelli, frozen foods—you name it! My total came to over $220, and it was absolutely worth it. The store is well-stocked, and I appreciate how they carry products I love and trust. Read moreI like this Taiwanese supermarket. It’s located on Ferrier street near Esna Park and Steele, store front doesn’t look like a supermarket and it’s store logo is called 國華. The store isn’t big but the products are nicely organized. If you are a bubble tea lover, you can buy their tapioca which comes in a rectangular package but it requires a little work to make them (20 minutes broiling then 20 minutes soaking). Unfortunately, this is not my first time having this experience. I suggest that expired products should be clearly marked and placed in a separate area. If they are marked and put in the same place, that's our choice to buy them. However, putting expired products alongside regular ones is not good for customers.
