GMP course was okay. If you have any HACCP knowledge, you will learn very little from the HACCP course. Dr Yao was the instructor, and would not explain quiz questions that grammatically did not make sense. He also had quiz answers that were different from source material for HACCP and BRC, but would not change answers to reflect updated source material when asked about it. He also speaks down to students, and is not respectful if you disagree with quiz answers. It is not a good course for those looking to actually be a HACCP coordinator/representative, but for general knowledge, and if you don't need to know specifics, it is okay. The College itself does not have good administration, and they do not respond to student concerns in effective ways, but will expect you to drop everything for their "urgent" emails. I took the HACCP and GMP courses online with Dr. Yao. The lecture slides were clear and understandable. However, much of the provided materials were not useful and ultimately did not need to be read to complete the graded quizzes. In addition, sometimes it was hard to identify which material the quiz was based on, so it took time to dig through all the materials to find answers. It was evident that English is not Dr. Yao first language. In spite of this, Dr. Yao provided good communication and explanations for all my questions and it felt like my success was important. Just graduated from the online GMP& HACCP certification course with Dr. Lee Yao. Due to the COVID, class options are limited, but Dr.Yao provided us as much as resources and help as he could to make us more engaged with the lessons. And always reply our questions in a very prompt manner! Thank you Dr.Yao! Very nice online...
