Gem in the middle of the city! And it’s free! I’ve been going to this trail for over 10 years now and I never get tired of it. In the summer it’s just so beautiful it’s green there’s fresh air so many wonderful wildlife like Blue Jays Cardinals and squirrels for the kids and adults to observe. In the fall the trail becomes a very popular photo shoot spot because of the beautiful fall colours and it’s accessibility. It is a very easy trail for strollers as well as elderly. I brought my 96-year-old grandmother here and she had fun just sitting and observing the Canadian geese. The nice thing as it is free. It’s not part of the Halton parks, so you can just park and enjoy a few hours of wondering around inside the trails. I’ll say the trail inside is about 4 km at the most. There is an abandoned railway track in the centre for photo shoots, as well as just exploring for kids. There are some spots for sitting and some make do benches. And there’s also a stream running on either side of the trail. Some people like to just dip themselves in there and others not it’s also very popular fishing spot for kids as...

Friendly squirrels and ducks. The walking through the tree canopy. The first thing that captivated us was the stunning canopy created by the trees. Walking beneath the dense foliage felt like being in nature's cathedral, with the sunlight dappling through the leaves of towering maple, oak, and pine trees. The way the branches intertwined to form a green roof was magnificent, providing a cool and shaded path for our stroll. The tranquil atmosphere was enhanced by the gentle sound of flowing water from the pond's outlet. It was a perfect backdrop for observing the local wildlife. We were delighted by the sight of numerous ducks gliding gracefully on the water, and the friendly Eastern gray squirrels, with their bushy tails, were a charming presence, scurrying along the paths and up the tree trunks. Mill Pond is a hidden gem that offers a beautiful blend of nature's best elements. It's a place where you can truly relax and connect with the outdoors, making it a perfect destination for a...

Millpond Park in Milton is a true gem for nature lovers like myself. As soon as I stepped onto the trail, I felt the stress of the day melt away. The serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make it the perfect place to take your furry friend for a walk. I was enchanted by the soothing sound of the nearby river, the playful squirrels darting about, and the sweet melodies of the birds chirping overhead.

Walking through the park felt like a zen experience, allowing me to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with the beauty of nature. Whether you're looking for a quick stroll or a longer hike, Millpond Park offers a rejuvenating outdoor experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to whenever I need a dose of tranquility and...
