It is 100% money first with them. The $2.49 charge for a hot towel after the treatment is ridiculous! Not the $amount, the principle. After paying over $100 for a treatment, it doesn't cover the cost of a hot towel?
Once I booked online and included the cost of a hot towel. All paid in advance. When I was leaving, Marcus at the front desk tried to charge me for the towel. I told him I already paid for it. He checked and said, oh yes I see that now. Why wouldn't you check before trying to charge me??? The answer : because the potential of receiving an additional $2.49 is more important than customer service and basic common courtesy.
And yes, eager to get the billing, no matter what. I too have had them cancel on me at the last minute and that is ok according to them. Other way around... of course not.

This is such a money hungry place.
$2.49 extra charge for a hot towel after the service. So ridiculous. And its not just the $$, it is the overall vibe with this place and the front desk staff. Its all about the money.
And their cancellation policy : zero flexibility for situations out of your control, such as ice storms, etc. Any opportunity to grab the fee, regardless of the circumstance. On the other hand, they have cancelled on me when the therapist had a "family issue" to deal with. To them that is ok, however if I had the exact same situation, they would charge me!!
They cancelled on me and their automated message was sent indicating my appointment was cancelled along with a stern reminder of their cancellation policy!!! Who uses a booking system that doesn't differentiate between who cancels the appointment? A place that has customer service low on their priority list, that is who.
Oh, and before Spalon management starts their usual defence " we have no record of you being a client...blah...blah...blah" I have been a client quite a few times. You have a front entrance facing Hurontario. You have a back exit near the laundry machines. You have salon chairs and motorcycle at the front. You have a sugaring room. You have a Pineapple room. June 3 2025. They still rock at customer service, providing a relaxing environment and peaceful soothing massages. My service provider today listened intently to my issues and soothed aching tired joints and muscles. Thanks Z for the wonderful massage!

It was a difficult year for them. All businesses go through those. But the team has held together so well And of course that team work has allowed them to share the best techniques, train new members so quickly and not miss a beat

Nov 13 2024. Some staff changes. We will miss those that have moved on. There are some great teachers here. Always wonderful to try out new therapists and estheticianâs.
I wouldnât go anywhere else. Jessica has the best team and offers the best service you itâs the could hope for.
March 18/2024 When I first began receiving treatments here I was always encouraged to book with service providers other than the ones I was accustomed to. I didn't appreciate this advice at first but now do.
Each member has a different way of delivering the same great experience. I no longer have to wait days to receive a memorable, relaxing and enjoyable service. At the same time, depending on the type of service I am looking for I can choose the team member that is best suited for what I am looking for on that day from that treatment.
Turns out it was great advice!
Overwhelmed by the consistency of service.
âI was pleasantly surprised to find this service provider when my usual had to cancel. The Spa is very clean, organized and peaceful (a bit chilly inside but for a good reason! They will explain...) My Sugaring treatment was terrific, the procedure was explained well and was very easy, quick and efficient. The massage one of the best I have had in a while, I am usually a talker but it was so relaxing I just stopped to enjoy every minute of it.

Cancel even within an hour and you are not charged a dime. Jessica, you have zero customer service skills. Point, blank, period. Stop hiding behind your âcancellationâ policy and be a good human! Hopefully your workers find a new place to go. You should also be reported for doing insurance fraud!
I have been going to this salon for about two years and have always been a good customer (referred friends as well), but today I had an appointment booked that they reminded me about ONE HOUR prior. I called to advise I could not make it and instead of being understanding, Jessica, tries to blame me and says they will have to charge my card. First of all, why are you reminding clients of an appointment one hour before. Second, your customer service was horrible and goes to show how you will treat a person that has been a long time customer. She still charged the full price to my card. I will NOT be returning. I understand it is responsible to remember your appointment time but based on the facts that I have NEVER done this before, still called, have been going there for years.. very disappointing service. I know smaller businesses that would never do this, at most they will charge 25% and even then they would evaluate the situation first.
I am sure had I dealt with any other staff member, this would not have been an issue, but Jessica always comes off as money hungry and I am happy to find a new salon. Not to mention the handful of times, I was asked to come in earlier or later for an appointment.. I never complained. Iâve requested a certain staff before and she was unable to be there, I was never notified until I got to the salon⌠still never complained.
