The location had a lot of potential but was really understaffed when we were there. There appeared to be two people running six or more rooms at the same time. Note: we finished the room.
We found the puzzles to be somewhat lackluster, and the rooms were extremely linear, meaning it was easy to hit a wall where there wasn't anything to do other than hope for an insight. In the room we went to there were two broken items which didn't severely hamper the experience but detracted from it.
Most frustrating, when we wanted to get a hint we found out that our walkie talkie was broken, we waited for five or so minutes and then fully exited the room to find an employee. When we found an employee, they just told us the answer to the puzzle rather than giving us a clue. This then happened a second time later on.
The decor was good, though the rooms were rather physically small. The puzzles were a mix of pretty bad (one I think we actually solved by accident) and pretty good, about half and half. It's also more of a pet peeve then a legitimate complaint but the room was very dimly lit (as part of the theme) which I tend to not like when I can't find a flashlight...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've done two rooms here: prison break and the lab. Please scroll for both reviews. I've done over 20 escape room at the time of writing this review.
The lab was a good room with some clever and varied puzzles. The difficulty was on the easy side, nothing too complicated. The theme was well implemented overall. At two people we solved it in 35 minutes using only 1 clue. (3/5 stars)
Prison break ranks as one of my least favorite rooms ever. The difficulty is reasonable. We did not manage to solve it, but it was mostly our fault. There was nothing faulty or unreasonably difficult. What I didn't like about it was the number of locks, both combination and with a key. Off the top of my head, there were 18 that I counted and about a dozen more prop locks. It quickly became really boring finding numbers everywhere and asking ourselves "is this an important number? Might as well try it on all the locks!" The theme was okay, but it was marred by the puzzling experience. I would not recommend this one at all. (1/5 stars)

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a very positive experience at A/Maze. We made an online appointment which was super easy and then paid cash upon arrival. We did the Military Facility. There were 3 of us, this game allowed a max of 5 people. You won't find any spoilers below, so feel free to keep reading.
The story was a lot of fun, the rooms were full of a lot of information and you really had to pay attention to figure your way through it. I would say on a scale of 0-10, 10 being the hardest, this was likely on the 6 or 7 scale. That being said, we did not solve it in time due to two technical difficulties we encountered due to a recent reset of the room.
We were given extra time to solve which was excellent, but we wanted to finish it in the time allotted if possible and each technical difficulty set us back a good 5 or 10 minutes before staff identified there was a problem and came to fix it or help us work around it.
Even with the technical difficulties, we had a ton of fun and I would definitely return to try another game out. I highly recommend...
