Baguette Brochette St-Henri — Restaurant in Montreal

I have had some bad food in MTL, but nothing comes even close how bad my meal was at baguette broche. I had the filet Mignon sandwich, and it had no soul it tasted like a guy out a street cart at 4am made it and even they would make it better than baguette brochette did. the sandwich consisted of a couple of pieces of raw onion, 2 small pieces of tomatoes, a little salad and a little steak. The bread was barely warm, and it tasted like the cheapest baguette you can get at a grocery store. All for 13.50 + tax, extremely expensive for what it is. I waited for 35 mins ( I could sit down at restaurant eat a meal and leave) to get the simple sandwich. I don't understand what takes so long about barely warming up a baguette and calling it a sandwich.

That is the least of my problems, I got the spicy version, and it wasn't even close to being spicy. No joke this was the worst spicy sauce I have ever had, I am not sure how it's made, but it tasted like they blended raw onion , some chilly powder and red food coloring and called it a spicy sauce. it made the sandwich inedible.

I usually don't write bad reviews for places, I know it takes hard work to own a restaurant, but I had to write something about this restaurant, so maybe some other sandwich can take baguette brochette place.

Please stay away...

My sister introduced me to this sandwich shop as it is her favourite. At first I was so happy and blown away by the sandwich but with each subsequent visit to this particular location I have been more and more disappointed. They are wildly inconsistent in their quality and I’m not sure if their management is aware or cares. Today I’m working from home so I ordered thru DoorDash and received a sandwiched not fully wrapped tossed into a bag, very little filet mignon and the choice doused in a very bitter seasoning that was like eating a mouthful of nutmeg. Which is wild. Normally i walk over to get my sandwich . Today’s sandwich was ultimately tossed into the garbage. On their good days , this sandwich is delicious and comforting. But more often at this location , I’m left angry that I wasted my weekly special treat budget on them. I will definitely continue to support their st denis location where their staff is so friendly and consistency is on point. I would love to support the st Henri location as it is my neighborhood , but I cannot continue to waste money in work hard for on a restaurant that doesn’t seem to care what comes out of their kitchen. I hope that this location can get their act together because at the base I really love...

I've ordered many times from here and used to love it, but lately, the quality and portion sizes have been wildly inconsistent. The last 2 times I ordered through ubereats, my sandwichs were made with a different baguette from normal, and were much smaller. Usually 1 of the sandwichs has me full, but now? I'm still hungry after eating a sandwich. I'm not sure if they changed their supplier for baguettes, but they're not as good and smaller now.

I even ordered a few sandwichs and the size varied a lot between them (even though it's supposed to be the same sandwich). I even used a scale to measure: One was 355 grams and the other was 413 grams, that's a 16% difference.

I won't order again until I know the issue...
