Why 1-star summary: an unprofessional, amateur barber accidentally removed my side burns and then told me "it's ok."
Longer comment: This is actually my third time to Sébastien Barbier; the first two times were five star experiences with two different barbers. i have an erratic schedule, so I usually book with whomever is available. This time, that happened to be Luis.
I asked for a high skin fade. The cut started out normally, with him cutting a fade line. After he cut the fade line, he starting "blending"âproblem is by the time he was done the fade line was a cm higher and not blended at all.
After he finished shaving the bottom of my head, he removed the apron....which was weird because I booked for beard service too. He was like, "oh sorry, I didn't look at the reservation."...
Within seconds of starting the beard (which was just supposed to be a line-up/clean-up) he shaved my right sideburn so low that it was no longer visible. He had to shave off the left one to balance it.
You can guess by the length of my review that I think the whole haircut was horrible, but some parting remarks: -Because I kept checking his lines and asking him to even things out, he said: "you're difficult, aren't you?" Terribly rude and insulting. -50$ which should be the price for a sculpted beard... Weird cuz he never used the razor and the two other barbers charged me 40$ for a cleaner cut.
Sébastien Barbier's brand is ruined for me, but if you have to go, make sure you don't get your look...

Arrived 20 minutes earlier first of all Luke is not on top of his things itâs 6:15pm and he goes ahead and calls another client to his chair as if he wasnât aware that he had one at 6pm. Then I also mentioned on the phone that I wanted a fade done for my brother. Then when my brother is seated on the chair I tell him what we wanted. His answer was " a low fade would take time" then mentioned that he had another client 15 minutes after my brother. Then mentioned that it wasnât his problem if his previous client came late. Then my brother said that when he was asked to take his time on his hair cut by Marie- eve he laughed and was super rough and fast on the haircut. All in all terrible experience rude and I would definitely take a refund. Luke didnât do the haircut that we wanted blaming it on the fact that he didnât have enough time because of his next client and that the previous one came late. When in the other hand we were 20min earlier and we did tell him we were on a time crunch but that he could take 40min for the haircut. I would definitely...

If a barber doesnt know how to do what is being asked they should probably say so before butchering someones hair.
