Highly disappointed in my first time experience at the spa. First off, I called to book a dermaplaning facial and while on the phone she seemed distracted and busy. Fine. I specifically asked if we can go in the mineral pool with this type of facial and they said not to get my face wet. Ok great. Showed up for my appointment, had a "consultation"-- asking me what type of skin I have, asked if she can do extractions on my face, ect. I was so excited for my dermaplaning facial because I've never had one! So here I am getting a facial and the time passes on..soon I was done and no dermaplaning happened or maybe I didn't even notice? Nope. Didn't happen. I asked her if she was doing the dermaplaning and she said the booking at front desk said a "custom facial" not dermaplaning. First off, nothing custom about it. Pretty generic. I said when I booked with front desk I booked in for a dermaplaning. Her response: I'm sorry your suppose to ask me for it during consult. Um excuse me? I'M suppose to ask. I already did ask when I booked! I was suppose to mention it-- lesson learned I guess and blamed it on me! Called manager when I got to my room and Quote: the best they could do was jazz bags for my party(there was 3 of us). All I wanted was dermaplaning not jazz bags. The jazz bags seemed to be products from the dollar store. In the end it was a booking error(on their end)so they should be responsible and make it right. When I called to book for a dermaplaning whoever booked it booked it wrong-- so I had to pay the price! Really disappointed and unprofessional for blaming me. Not sure if I will go back to the for the price and ecspecially the service!! Also, my friend in our party had her facial cancelleld last minute and bumped to Sunday at 8am! I also booked a dermaplaning facial for her and she was scheduled for a custom facial! They need to make it more clear and TAKE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently spent two days at Temple Gardens with my wife and adult daughter. It was a pleasant enough stay until the second day when my daughter booked a massage. After her massage, I could see immediately that her experience was not good.
She told me that her "masseuse" reeked of body odour. I can just imagine how that must have felt in the closed confines of a massage room. Furthermore, she described his "massage" to be more like stroking. She found this both creepy and annoying. She has never walked out of a massage in her life. Her only regret was that she did not walk out after five minutes. She found the "masseuse" to be both unprofessional and incompetent.
Management scheduled a second massage for the next morning. While my daughter was having her second massage, I asked to speak to the Manager Rachel Hardwicke. The attendant, Shelley Miller, told me that Rachel was away. I explained the situation to Shelley and asked what Temple Gardens was prepared to do to compensate for this unfortunate situation. She promptly phoned Anna Pasion, Acting Manager. I heard Shelley say to Anna "We've got to do better than that". Anna offered a 20% discount.
I then went and asked to speak to the General Manager David Wood. When told that Mr. Wood was unavailable, I wrote a detailed message asking Mr. Wood to call me, I heard nothing back from him.
Conclusion: When things go wrong in an organization, this is not a problem but an opportunity - an opportunity to take responsibility and set things right. A complimentary massage would have set things right. Sadly, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe did not have a very good experience at all the most recent time we went.
I called and asked to book a massage, the lady on the phone asked what kind and I stated we needed two massages with an RMT. When we got there I confirmed that we were seeing RMT's and she said yes. After that she handed us forms to fill out even though we have been before and you usually don't have to refill all that information as a repeat client.
We had come early to use the pool before our massages and we had stated that as well and she said okay. They were supposed to provide us with our cards for the spa lockers where we could change get our swim stuff on and everything and they made us wait until it was time for the first massage to give my fiance a card for the locker room and I had to ask again after my massage to get a card.
When I am done my massage it was a mediocre massage not what we had come to expect for our time at this facility previously. I found out that we were not booked in with an RMT at all. Overall I was very disappointed with our experience
We go for massages at the spa to relax and spend time together in the pool before our massages and it was no such thing i was annoyed by them not coming back with our key cards and we didn't get to spent time together in the pool at all because they said the spa locker room needed to be closed up by 10 pm and my fiances massage wasn't done till...
