Never eat here, horrible food/service.
Christmas Eve, we placed an order for pickup at Mitsu Sweet Cafe and were told that it would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived about 5 minutes early and was told it was almost ready. The restaurant was not busy as there were only two tables in use. I waited about 15-20 minutes and another customer came in and the order that was almost ready wasn’t mine, the person at the till had me mixed up with another customer. So the waitress said that it would be a few more minutes for mine and needed to pay which I did. I waited another 20 minutes and the waitress ask me why i was waiting as I already picked up the order. I told her no that no one has picked up anything and I came down to pick up and pay for my order. She again told me it would be only be a few minutes. After our discussion she is on her phone, my guess calling someone to figure out what went wrong. I waited another 30 minutes and another employee came in and the two were whispering to each other and neither one approaching me. I finally walked over to them and asked what was going on and why was my order taking so long. The employee that just arrived said there was a mistake and they took my food to her family’s home. She must of thought that this funny as she was laughing when she told me. So the waitress said that we can make up your order and it would take about 25 minutes. They hadn’t even started on my order yet and I wonder how long I would have waited if I hadn’t approach them…. also I did not see the humour in this. I demanded my money back and was told it would “only” be a few more minutes…. I told her no, I want my money and that I would never return. She finally gave me my money back and as I was leaving the store she chased after me and said here is a coupon for 10% off my next purchase. I told her told her to keep it as I’m never coming back and walked out.
You would think this is the end but they had my wife’s number. While I was driving back home, they called her and said they wanted to make it right and would deliver our order at no charge. We got our order….not, I think it was someone else’s as just about all of the food was nothing that we ordered or what we like. In fact most of it was pretty gross as it was nothing that we had ever tried before and the texture was like rubber. We ended up throwing out over half the food which is sad, what a waste.
As far as the owner responding to this message, don’t bother. I see that you pretty much do a cut and paste on the negative reviews so I already know what you’re going to say. You can’t make this right, you wasted over an...

The staff wasn't polite, except for the young lady who looks like Canadian-Filipino (I wish I knew her name). The rude one was the one with long dried yellowish-unhealthy hair. She looks like a little Chinese or Vietnamese woman. She kept staring at my friends and I with an attitude like we were bothering her. We're polite, and not loud. We just needed time to read through the menu before we ordered. Maybe, she was annoyed because we ordered lunch boxes rather than any other fancy menu in the restaurant?
What was more disappointing was that we ordered hot drinks like coffee latte and other hot lattes to drink after our lunch. However after 10-15 minutes, the Japanese lady came and handed us the paper-cups, and said the restaurant ran out of mugs. Then, she asked us whether we're okay with that? We were shocked. What kind of restaurant is this? It wasn't even that busy, and we didn't even stay over 2 hours yet. We felt like she just wanted to chase us out.
If the Japanese lady was the owner that was so inappropriate of her to treat my friends and I like that. Especially, I was the one who tried to promote the place to my friends. I went there with my husband in 2022, so I thought it's good to support the same local business but it turned out to be a terrible experience for my friends and I. We're so disappointed, but we still left tips (15%). We're polite and considerate customers. We did nothing wrong. We spent almost$ 150 for lunch. Why did this restaurant treat us like this?

Read moreThere aren't a lot of options in Moose Jaw for dining, and Mitsu serves fresh food and is unique with a wide variety of options, so its nice to have them in town. And I believe in supporting local! However, I ordered online tonight and somehow, the system doubled one item and eliminated the other- I was really looking forward to my sushi pizza, :( and yet it never came, I checked the receipt and it was incorrect. I know I put the correct item in, so not sure what happened, the website did glitch and I had to push the back button---anyways, be careful with the online order option, maybe just call instead! Ironically I have had at least 2 other incidences with my order being incorrect... The food tonight was quite late, but they did call to tell me it would be so, so that was a nice courtesy- they said there was a "system" issue. And the delivery guy almost left without leaving me my drink and I had to run out to get it. There is some inconsistencies when it comes to the quality of their drinks-such as lattes and etc. the food is usually consistent. This is a good place to go to as long as you don't deviate from what you like, expect service to be slow sometimes, however they are a lot quicker over the past few months than in the past.
