PC CORNER INC. — Attraction in Newmarket

THIS GUY IS A SCAM ARTIST. THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE.

(EDITED: My husband has now fixed my harddrive, and has gotten me my photos back in under two hours. I thought it would be faster to go the professional route, but I've never been so wrong. His behaviour has been absolutely disgusting. I've spoken personally to the women who's accounts he fake-posted reviews from! He has been purposefully lying, and attacking a fellow business owner by posting FAKE reviews on their page despite never being a client, instead of trying to FIX his disgusting business practices.)

Saw the 4.9 review and was clearly misled by fake reviews. Wish I had seen Emma's post earlier about he uses clients computers while they're in his possession to write fake positive reviews about his own business. Was having trouble with an external. Well, finally got my external back – but not with all my photos back, or even most of my photos back. He quoted the job of getting all my photos transferred over to an internal drive as $90-100 and 2-3 days.

Not. Even. Close.

We got ONE folder of images from the PC repair guy, and that's it. Feel foolish for trusting a local business with such delicate materials, but who else are you supposed to go to when you can't access your own materials?

I'm a photographer, not a computer whiz, unfortunately. My husband was originally working on it and it was a slow process, but he was making WAY more lee-way than this guy, and I wasn't having to pay out of pocket for it either. Was thinking it would be a faster route to get a professional help me. Was definitely wrong.

I saw the first handful of reviews on Google and the rating was a 4.9, and everything seemed copacetic, called, got a quote of $90-100 -- and now, two weeks later (originally he said two-three days at most) and he'd barely done anything -- A SINGLE FOLDER? Out of hundreds of folders. -_-

And he tripled the price. So nearly $300 later – I have one client’s photos back, out of hundreds of folders. For doing next to nothing. He said he'd be done getting all the photos after Easter, and I believed him.

After struggling to get ahold of him (I tried Monday but figured he might be closed for Easter monday as some businesses are, and then Tuesday I called several times again).

Decided I'd had enough, and reasoned I'd call him as soon as he opened today and either way, whether he answered or not, I was damned sure gonna walk down there to talk to him face-to-face. While waiting for the shop to open, I read through MORE reviews (further down the page instead of just trusting the rating) and several state THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE.

Thankfully, the hubby is already working on it and he's already gotten me more photos than this scam artist in three hours than he got me in two weeks.

I couldn’t get them back unless I paid him despite him doing next to nothing, and all my clients are waiting – so he was basically holding them hostage unless I gave him money for doing nothing. Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE...

About a month or so ago I had a power on problem with my laptop...in short...dead! Nada nothing...dead! Having checked the obvious sources of the problem I had to resort to having the computer looked at by a PC service company. They were unable to find the cause of the problem and offered to send it out for a more "detailed" analysis for a very high fee and an even higher fee if repaired. They were also nudging me to have a look at their line up of used laptops. I was very unhappy with the situation and took back my laptop. Frustrated, I looked around the net and came across PC Corner Inc. and read their reviews. I decided to visit them as they are relatively close to my home town. With my laptop in hand minus the HD that I needed (which as working fine) I meet Amir Aslam and he committed to have a look at it and get back to me. Within 3 day he called me to inform me that he had ordered some parts and as soon as they arrived he would complete the repair. A few days later I got the call that my laptop was ready. I could not be happier and am writing this review on the very laptop he repaired. It powers on with no problems at all and runs as new. I recommend PC Corner Inc. to anyone looking to have an honest evaluation and/or repair of their PC be it a laptop or desktop. Thanks Amir for a job well done and a very fair price I was happy to...
