Went Saturday night, very busy which was expected. No organization, we stood outside the door by what looked like a hostess station for a few minutes until we stopped a passing employee to ask where the hostess was. Apparently, we were supposed to walk into the restaurant but that was not clear as other people waited outside awkwardly as well. The hostess told us it would be 40 minutes. Okay, we went for a walk up the street and within 10 minutes, we received a text saying we had to make it back within 5 minutes to get our table as it was ready. We ran to make it in time. Don't quote 40 minutes when it is half that time, recommend better training for the hostesses because if they were organized, they would know the table times and be able to quote properly. Our waitress was slow. She looked flustered, but appeared to only have 4 tables while we were there unless she had tables inside as well as the patio. We asked for water and nachoes at the same time. Nachoes came out, still no water. We ate half of the nachoes and had to stop her to ask for water. Finished the nachoes, still not water. We told our waitress at the beginning that we would like to order another item after the nachoes came, she never stopped again at our table. We had to catch her when she was walking back from another table to ask if we could order another item. And ask for water. We finally got water!!!! And the other item was something deep-fried but very dry and no flavour. Also, they use frozen diced vegetables. I was so disappointed by that. They tasted freezer burnt. I also went to use my knife, which was wrapped nicely in the napkin set up, but it was dirty. Considering the slow service, I just used my fork as a knife. We asked for salsa, almost finished the meal before the salsa showed up. We also used the washroom while there... Regretted that decision. They were disgusting. My friend had to get a toilet paper roll out of the staff bathroom so the stall she used had toilet paper. Very unclean. The nachoes are great, service is not good, hostess set up is not good and the bathrooms are disgusting. I will never go there again unless I get a hankering for nachoes. Although, I make more flavourful nachoes at home and...

My recent dining experience at Made in Mexico in Newmarket, Toronto, was nothing short of extraordinary. As a South African exploring the culinary delights of Toronto for the first time, I was eager to dive into the world of Mexican cuisine, and Made in Mexico did not disappoint.
Beside the fact that we had such an amazing waitress who greeted us warmly was friendly and helpful ensuring our experience was amazing, the food, let me get to it!!! (High 5 and all 5's to her - You may have just made a forever customer out of me)
THE Star of the Show - Oh, where do I begin? Each bite was a revelation, a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate and left me craving for more. As a first-time burrito enthusiast, I was blown away by the sheer creativity and authenticity that went into making this Marvel. From the perfectly seasoned chicken, to the fresh, tasty beans and rice, every component sang in harmony, creating a culinary masterpiece that I will not soon forget.
People say to me, IT is Just a Burrito. I say, Hell No!! Are you KIDDING??
I have written Many Reviews, but I think this is the one to top it, this is the one that made me crave Mexican and simply star this as now my top list cuisine.
And let's talk about value for money - Made in Mexico exceeds all expectations. Despite the exquisite quality and quantity of the food and the impeccable service, the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it accessible to all who seek an unforgettable dining experience.
I have been staying in Downtown Toronto and let me tell you, I am so glad to have moved to Newmarket, the value far exceeds anything possible in downtown.
In summary, Made in Mexico is not just a restaurant; it's a journey to the heart of Mexico, right in the heart of Newmarket on Main Street. With its stellar service, unparalleled flavors, and unbeatable value, it's no wonder this gem earns a resounding A++ in my book. Whether you're a seasoned Mexican food aficionado or a newcomer like myself, I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Go, indulge, and let your taste buds embark on a culinary adventure...
Read moreWe had a late lunch/early dinner around 5:40 pm, and unfortunately, our experience felt rushed from start to finish. We were out by 6:00 pm! Every two minutes, a lady came to our table with an attitude, repeatedly asking, "You haven't decided yet?"
While we were ordering, I tried to change one of the items while she was still taking our order, but she told me she had already entered it into the system and couldn’t make changes. She didn’t even say it nicely, which immediately soured the mood.
After I went to the washroom to wash my hands and returned, I was surprised to find our food already on the table. While I’m not complaining about how quickly the food came, I did wonder if it was freshly made.
Things went from bad to worse when my husband was still eating and had food in his mouth, and the server took his plate away. He had to ask for a fork again because he still had a side dish left. They kept walking by, eyeing my plate to take it, which stressed me out because I was worried they'd take my food away while I was still eating. It felt unprofessional and made the whole atmosphere feel unwelcoming.
A couple of years ago, we ordered takeout from this restaurant through Uber Eats to enjoy at a nearby park. When we opened the package, we realized there were no utensils, even though the dish required both a spoon and a fork. We called the restaurant, but the response was rude and dismissive. The Uber Eats listing for this restaurant didn’t mention anything about needing to request utensils, so we were caught off guard.
I decided to give this place another chance, but sadly, they disappointed us once again. Or maybe we were just unlucky both times?
Overall, a restaurant should foster a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for its customers, but unfortunately, this place falls short in that department. The fish taco was just okay—not bad, but nothing special. However, the steak...
