Commisso's Fresh Foods — Attraction in Niagara Falls

Usually this a good place. However, today was totally disappointing. I've ordered a pizza. When picking up my and other lady's pizza where in an oven that was having a malfunction. After 35 minutes wait, they finally decided to bring the pizzas out of the oven and move them to the one below it. Both were burnt. The lady received the pizza for free and I just received mine without any explanation. When at the cash, I noticed the burnt smell coming from the box. Ive tried to ask for help but couldn't wait more time, it was a long wait and my kids were waiting the pizza in my car. That can happen for sure and is not the reason of this review. The reason for this complain is that the only difference between that lady and I, was the tone of our skin. They were extremely considerate with her, which I appreciate and was happy to see. I got to be honest, I was expecting the same, probably at least an explanation and/or apology as the lady received. However, when it was my turn they just called my name and send me to the pay the pizza. I wonder why is there a difference on the way they treat customers? Are we really talking about this nowadays? Managers and owners should train your personnel to manage this situations with the same standards and not allowing personal or company's prejudice affect your business with your customers.

After moving to Niagara from the Burlington area I was really disappointed by the quality of grocery stores. Everything seemed to be low end, low price driven or owned by the same big company. The selection was the same at every store and the produce was sad. Until I found Commissos. It's great. Quality, fresh produce and meats. I think it's the only store in town with a real butcher shop in it. The staff is very knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. If you don't see a cut you like, or need a different size they are always willing to cut a new piece. I like that the majority of staff have been there for years. I frequently go into the butcher shop and ask for recommendations from the tall friendly woman butcher or the gentleman with the nice eyes. Everyone there is excellent but over the last few years those two especially have recommended some fabulous cuts to me that my entire family loved. I also appreciate that they don't just recomend the most expensive cuts and understand if you need to work within a budget. I always find a great, well priced meal for my family at Commissos. I found this amazing Italian food market by accident and now it's where I go weekly. You can also sit in and have fresh Italian coffee with sandwiches, Pizza, pastries and home made Gelato. 😋👌

They have the freshest fruits and vegetable selections, home made salads, pizza, sandwiches , bake shop to die for ..Their cinnamon bun with icing is the best ever 😋

They make their own dinners to go, including the best pizza's as well as jars of homemade fresh tomato and other sauces.

They have an excellent cold cuts and cheese selection. Fresh fish , hormone free meats . An amazing selection of vegetarian and gluten free dairy free products.

You can even buy wine and beer here . The flower and plant section is amazing and reasonable priced

You can find great selection of coffee and teas. Vitamin and protein powders..Great Health Food choices 👌

The place is spotless ! all the counter clerks and cashiers are so friendly and helpful. 💯

I will continue to shop each week here as they have the best of the best to offer.
