Dosa Eatery Niagara Falls — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

First timer n after reading reviews,wanted to try this place for dosa. Ambience did not impress us but we decided to try the food. Ordered dosa n chai , Paid upfront at counter FIRST, then waited awhile - we were patient enough. Food came- one dosa was very 'oily' but the shocker was in the white chutney; there was a short strand of black hair. We were appalled n lost our enthusiasm. (do they not hv rules in niagara abt wearing mesh nets over beards, goatees, stubbles whatever? Dont know who cooked or who ladled food on those awful bedpan like white trays ) Called server, who said she will change our plate. Next dosa served was ok,no hair served. But the food was meh. Really, it was No big deal Overall,no exceptional taste or flavour, the music, the ambience wasnt anything to shout abt, and I would have given a pass to the server but as we were leaving, she shouted across the restaurant and shouted, "Have you paid up?" "Wait wait, let me check". So though i asserted we paid upfront, we had to wait till she checked her till. This place had 2 tables [ 4 diners in total) the whole time we were there. (N we had food served with hair in our chutney!) Her shouting out to us, n never even apologizing for that rude questioning esp when she should be sorry for giving us a bad first experience at this place, is enough for us to decide to never come back here, n why i felt the need to write this review.i am always supportive of ethnic cuisine but this was a great letdown. Would NOT Recommend this...

Me and my partner went to try the dosa here. We got: Chicken Keema Dosa Onion Rava Dosa Idli Vada Sambhar Mango Lassi Cardamom Tea

Chicken Keema Dosa was really good! Very flavourful

Onion Rava Dosa - not that suggested, didn’t like the way it was made

Idli - felt like it was the frozen Idli that was just heated, it was very chewy and would not break apart, like rubber

Vada - definitely very good! We even got a second serving of the Vada

Sambhar - Not a lot of places make good sambhar, 100% recommend the Sambar over here… also something I really liked was that it was thick and not very liquidy like those restaurants who make it very watery just to save money

Mango Lassi - was good as well, just the right amount of sweetness in it

Cardamom Chai - it was not made fresh, it was the one from the machine, not recommended

Overall, my experience was good over here, except that the service was slow The lady serving us was very nice, but the other guy wasn’t very friendly

I would recommend going there atleast once and trying...

I have given 3 stars cause pricing of the food, if everyone checks the price if hamilton and niagara falls its very different, niagara falls prices are expensive than hamilton. I don't understand 1 thing, how can 1 franchise keeps different prices on every location, owner might be different on every franchise but franchise is common so prices should be similar as well..! This is just ripping off people on location to location basis..! Cause that don't know the prices of different location..! On top of that menu is different as well..! EVERYONE CHECK OUT HAMILTON MENU AND NIAGARA FALLS MENU AND CHECK PRICES AS WELL..! Most of the locations of dosa eatery are vegetarian n thats what many people prefer but Niagara falls is entire different with different menu slightly..! This is franchise it cant be done in this way..! N cant be manipulate customers like this..! Als they come here to take order like other stores we have to get up n give order..! Also, they don't provide water, we have to ask..! But food was good tho, thank u...
