I was highly disappointed, waste of time and money. I went with a large group for a trip. The staff were unfriendly first of all. They were dismissive, unorganized, and quite literally said If we didn't listen to instructions or here, we could not do the course despite paying and they would not repeat. It was difficult to understand instructions as It was hard for many to hear instructions. This being because they only gave two instructional courses with over 15 people at each. Meaning they were lacking enough instructional introductions despite booking large groups. I could not see nor hear due to the large amount of people in front of me, and when people inquire for help, they were dismissed. Many different courses were closed, and the lines were incredibly long. At one point, I, along with many others, were waiting in a long line. Staff then said there was a shorted line for a more experienced course. It sounded great, but It was closed and I as sent back to the original line. This meant I lost my spot and was left in the back of the line. Staff did not care. There WAS a nice view, I must admit, however, staff overbooked and they could not keep up with the number of clients. I, along with others from my group, had to stand around waiting to go farther along the course, waiting between 5 to 15 minutes each time, which was ridiculous. Staff then told us to hurry up, bot got mad when more than three people were on a section of the course. It was radicicolous and took over two hours to complete. Was NOT worth it. I was incredibly disappointed, do NOT recommend. My time was waste, I could have enjoyed my limited time in Niagara in many other place in the area. Along with disorder, unfriendliness, general incompetence, the experience disappointed me along with my...
Read moreWe decided to let our two kids, ages 5 and 7, try this course. Both were very excited and eager to do it because it does look very interesting and fun. My son was fine and had a great time, but my daughter (age 5) had a very difficult time with the clips and ropes. The guides on the ground were giving instructions but they were not very clear. She was also starting to get very anxious with so many directions. At the third obstacle there is a swinging ball and she became very scared to jump. At 5, she didn't understand that she wouldn't fall to the ground. All of this is understandable up until things began to escalate and it's the response of the staff that was shocking. She was on a platform crying and becoming very panicked and they did nothing but try to talk her into moving forward. After 10 minutes they tried to give instructions to the small child behind her on how to pass her. The directions were very confusing and there were no visuals for the kids to follow. There were no staff members stationed at the top of the ropes course to help. After 25 minutes of her screaming and panicking (and in the meantime an employee just walked away saying that it's his job to help everyone not just my child) they finally sent someone to help her. The other thing that was shocking was that there was no emergency exit. She was forced to go back through the obstacles that scared her in the first place. This caused more tears on both her part and mine. Seeing her so scared and having people available to help but unwilling was a deep disappointment. There was no effort by the staff to resolve the situation and when I explained my issue it was completely dismissed. The customer service here is absolutely appalling and this attraction is certainly not meant for...
Read moreThe place is neat for sure, but the experience I had at the kids course is probably a little different than the adults course. When I first signed my 8 year old and her friend up it said 1 chaperone could attend. I thought this meant I was able to go up with them. Nope....it meant I could watch them from the ground and help guide them from there even though there is a worker guide (again not up with them, but on the ground).
I ended up paying $29 plus tax to go up with them because they were a bit scared at first as it is pretty high for kiddos. My daughter was particularily scared and screamed a few times (seemed quite normal as she was scared). We got told by a guide that she can't scream ...seemed odd as she was a scared kid and that was her reaction.
It took us over an hour close to 1hr 30mins as certain obstacles were harder and more challenging. It was super hot. We went at 130pm (don't recommend) as you are stuck up high with no shade or water.
I completed the course as well and I do say it was way harder than I thought for kids. There was a younger girl and her dad there (around 5 or 6) and they turned around and came back as she couldn't do it. It's not for every kid that's for sure. The views are neat and the courses are challenging. Come prepared and expect some kids to chicken as it's quite hard for smaller humans.
Most workers are great and encouraging and others seemed annoyed that my kid was scared at times. They are mostly younger workers so I get that they didn't understand kid emotions or fears. There is only one chicken spot where you can come down and if you pass it ...you are in it for the long haul lol ....she completed the course and it will be an experience she won't forget for many...
