🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – A Hidden Skyscape Wonder at Niagara! We had an extraordinary experience riding the Whirlpool Aero Car over the swirling Niagara Gorge — a thrilling yet serene 10-minute cable car ride across the famed Whirlpool Rapids. You rise about 200 ft above the river, suspended from six steel cables, crossing the Canada–U.S. border four times — and you don’t even need a passport!
💡 Did you know? This remarkable car was designed by Spanish engineer Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in service since 1916, with upgrades along the way. It stretches over a 1 km span, offering unmatched panoramic views of the 60-acre whirlpool below and the powerful Class 6 rapids.

Spring and Fall deliver stunning foliage and fewer crowds.
Early morning or late afternoon helps avoid long lineups.

Read moreMy wife, friends, and I had an incredible experience riding the Whirlpool Aero Cable Car on a Sunday evening. The ticket cost was c$19.50 per person, which we found to be reasonable for the amazing ride we had. The best part was that parking was free, which added to the overall value. We arrived and had a waiting time of around 20 minutes before boarding the cable car. The wait may vary depending on the crowd, but we didn't mind as we were excited about the experience. Once we were onboard, we soared high above the racing Niagara River, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Great Gorge.
The cable car itself has a charming antique design, resembling an aeroplane. It added to the unique and nostalgic atmosphere of the ride. As we glided through the air, we marveled at the sheer power of the Niagara River below us. The sight of the water abruptly changing direction and creating the Niagara Whirlpool was truly mesmerizing. While the whirlpool can be intimidating, it was an unforgettable sight to witness. The raw force of nature was on full display, and it left us in awe. The entire experience was thrilling and provided us with a newfound appreciation for the natural wonders of the world.
Overall, we highly recommend the Whirlpool Aero Cable Car to anyone visiting Niagara Falls. The combination of the breathtaking views, reasonable ticket price, and free parking makes it a fantastic attraction. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking an exhilarating experience, the Whirlpool Aero Cable Car...
Read moreWe had a Niagara Falls package that this Aero Car experience was a part of. I don’t think we would have purchased this on its own to be honest. However, as part of the package it was a great experience. At the welcome center we were told we had to set a reservation for the Aero car experience. Although they do try their best to keep you in your reserved time frame, you get pushed back quite a bit because there are way too many people in that same time slot. The ride itself was great and I’m saying this as someone who is very much scared of heights and has a good deal of anxiety in general. I was close to skipping out at the last minute. I’m glad I didn’t! Our operator, Rylie (not sure of the spelling of her name) was absolutely top notch!!! She was knowledgeable, professional, yet very personable, funny, and sweet. I have to say that she made this experience a thousand times more fun. I know people have complained about not being able to get out on the other side and I think that’s actually a good thing. Having people go on and off the car on both sides would make the operation more difficult logistically and result in even longer wait times. But if you’re interested in going to the other side, take the WEGO bus to the next stop (Whirlpool Golf) and you’ll end up right there. Overall this was a wonderful experience but I took a star away due to the very long wait times which are likely due to overbooking reservation times on the admin side of...
