Please don’t miss this beautiful little village on the shores of Lake Ontario. I had been here about 45 years ago so didn’t remember too much about it. We were planning on revisiting when our waiter at the Skylon Restaurant told us if we visited only one other spot while at Niagara Falls, make it the village of “Niagara on the Lake”. First of all the drive out to it (only 30 minutes) is beautiful. You’ll drive by stately homes on a beautiful tree lined road. You’ll also drive by several vineyards as well. The town itself is idyllic with its Main Street dotted with ice cream stores, boutiques, restaurants and the Shaw Theater. There is a nice statue of him as well across the street. Haven’t found out if there’s a connection between him and the town but does it matter. There are flowers everywhere along the street. Every city & town should do likewise. It adds so much to the area. There is a great Irish store that has almost anything “Irish” you would want. After you’ve shopped, eaten and strolled around, make sure you go down to the end of the Main Street. There you’ll find Lake Ontario in all its glory. If you have a clear day you’ll be able to see the city of Toronto across the lake. There is a beautiful golf course at the end of the street with more beautiful homes to admire. The homes are meticulously maintained with beautiful lawns and gardens. If you’re looking for a slow paced, relaxing day away from the Falls and Clifton Hill this is the place for you. Have a great meal and bring a book to read down by the lake. You won’t be disappointed.

非常美麗的小鎮 買到了很多我想要的雪納瑞物品 很值得來 Niagara-on-the-Lake is a small town in the Niagara region of southern Ontario, Canada. It is located at the confluence of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. It is adjacent to St. Catharines in the west, Niagara Falls in the south, and New York in the east across the river. The village of Ston is facing each other. The beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake is full of flowers from spring to autumn, leaving Toronto and Buffalo in the United States relatively close, and tourists like clouds. Shaw's Theatre in the town has performed Shaw's plays for many years.

Beautiful and historic town well worth the visit. Lots to see and many eclectic shops and restaurants to explore. Parking can be a challenge so visit early. Many wineries on the outskirts worth checking out. Lot of history and great photo opps.
