My wife and I booked this place as an overnight stop on our bike ride from Hamilton area to Niagara. We were greeted by our friendly and lovely host Jodi and readily showed us around the immaculately clean place.
There were three guest rooms available on the second floor one of which had an in-suite three-piece bathroom.
All the room furnishing are top notch and the crisp and oh-so white linens and sheets and pillows are so inviting of a quick nap after the long dayâs ride.
Bottled water is always available in the mini fridge for a quick grab-and-go when youâd rather do the healthy walk of a few blocks towards the old town square â which we did after we have checked in.
We spent most of our evening in the town square enjoying some of the many great things Niagara-on-the-Lake has to offer. Had a wonderful dinner at Treadwell then gelato at Carlottaâs for dessert and a lovely walk around town. Night cap was a cup of tea each for Cristina and me at the very clean and spotless kitchen area of the B&B.
Morning came and the breakfast was a delightful treat. The host prepared French toast stuffed with mascarpone, topped with poached pears (with the perfect amount of crunchy ripeness), two (just the perfect amount) strips of bacon and sprinkling of chopped walnuts. Heavenly. I swear I could have enjoyed it with a white. Or a red. Doesnât matter. Heck, the place is situated in the wine country. But I opted for two cups of black coffee instead (as the voice reminded me we were riding a sub-100 that day). Needless to say the host was an excellent cook.
But the host was not done yet. She delighted us also with a homemade strawberry ice cream with brownies and blackberries. How can one refuse a tasty after-meal treat like that? Especially when you need those calories for a whole day of bike ride!
Will I book Serendipity again? Certainly. Will I recommend it to friends? With absolutely no...

Read moreWe could not have hand-picked better hosts if we tried! Just had a magnificent weekend away, and completed our first B&B experience. Jodi and Bruno were the kindest, most fun-to-chat-with hosts, and let me take a moment to gush about the food they made us!!! I have several food allergies that can be a pain in the rear when traveling, but my husband was in communication with Jodi and Bruno ahead of our arrival to coordinate what brands were safe for me of various ingredients, and I haven't had such a delicious homemade breakfast since needing to cut gluten, dairy, and chicken from my diet a decade ago. My husband can't stop talking about the first breakfast, right down to the GF bread and he usually won't even try my bread. đ€Ł The room was immaculate, and they really thought of everything for us. It was easy to use an access code to come and go as we pleased, and believe me we will be back sooner than later. Walkable to NOTL main shopping area, beautiful home, fantastic people, what more can...
