The Alexandria Park has many features to visit. The Sandfield Center holds my wife and my School Bus Driver meetings. It has a Presentation screen visible for meetings and a good sound system for a speaker to talk to an audience. The space also has the option to enjoy a sit down meal with a party or for business. It has a small kitchenette for groups. Outside, the beautiful walkways and the view of the Mill Pond and the Playground for all ages to enjoy. 4-5 Soccer fields are used all summer. The yearly festivities for special holidays have the Parades in Alexandria end up in the parking lot. In the summer, it's a nice relaxing place to take a walk and watch the people fish from a canoe or take a paddleboat stroll around the pond. ...
Read moreI love this park. We come several times a week most weeks! Only thing that drives me nuts is that the bathrooms are usually closed. Even if it states that theyre open from x time to x time. There is a lot of kids with little bladders and they should not be locking up the doors to the bathrooms. If theyre worried about vandalism or something then they should at least put up more porta potties. I noticed one last time I went, but i believe its just because of all the soccer games recently.
Also with the amount of dogs walking around the park, and the amount of space there is, it would be amazing if they added a dog...
Read moreA lovely big park on the edge of an archetypal Ontario small town, complete with a large, serene lake with a sandy beach for swimming, playground for kids, soccer fields, baseball diamonds and a skate park. Lots of walking paths, benches, picnic tables and gazebos. Plenty of parking. There's also a youth/community centre on the grounds and a huge event stage that's mostly used for Canada Day celebrations.
