The service was significantly overpriced. The massage I received felt more like a relaxation massage rather than a targeted RMT treatment. I refrained from critiquing the massage during the session, as the RMT was friendly, and it isn't my style to do so during the service. While the massage was pleasant, it did not meet my specific needs and did not compare to my regular massage establishment. The lounge area was unnecessarily large, contributing to the high cost of services due to wasted space. It resembled a small to medium-sized restaurant, capable of seating at least 20 people. The refreshments were mostly sweets, with the only healthy options being plain almonds and prunes. The facility included a small steam room, two private showers, two toilets, and two small changing rooms. There was inadequate space to store my belongings, and the provided shampoo and conditioner were of hotel quality, which was disappointing. I brought my own face and hair products but had no room to use them comfortably. I felt rushed to use the steam room and shower as other clients were arriving. Consequently, I ended up using body wash on my face and didn't have the chance to moisturize properly, as I didn't want to touch the door handles with a freshly moisturized face. The locker room was also cramped, with only one small bench for multiple clients to use. Unfortunately, my experience was mediocre at best. While I am glad to have tried it, I will not be returning for services. The tipping process was also frustrating, with the prompt appearing twice—once on their screen and once on the payment machine. From my experience, tipping an RMT is unusual, akin to tipping a dentist or chiropractor. The massage lasted only 50 minutes, yet the total cost with tax was $198.45 (excluding tip), making it not worth the expense. Several hours later, my neck and upper back felt unchanged. Additionally, the receipt indicated a 60-minute duration, but I am unsure where the extra 10 minutes were allocated—perhaps to lounging, showering, or using the steam room. I rated the experience one star mainly due to the exorbitant price, rather than the subpar massage itself. I would rate the massage a 2 out of 5, as the RMT did not focus on the areas I needed. Thank you for the experience. Attached are photos of my receipt, the refreshments, and my insurance coverage. Fortunately, I am also covered under my spouse's plan, as this was a waste of half my yearly coverage, and it's only January. I will be returning to my regular massage therapist in New West. By the way, today is April 9, 2024, and Spa Utopia has yet to reach out.

Spa Utopia in North Vancouver is truly a hidden gem with its stunning city and ocean views. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting this spa, and I must say, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and a soothing atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. The attention to detail and commitment to comfort and luxury at Spa Utopia is truly remarkable. Every corner of the spa is meticulously designed to create a tranquil and serene environment. The breathtaking views of the city and ocean only enhanced our experience, allowing us to fully unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff at Spa Utopia were exceptional in every way. They were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that we were treated and served with the utmost care. The therapists were highly skilled and knowledgeable, providing us with personalized treatments that left us feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. One of the highlights of our visit was the attention to detail. From the plush robes and slippers to the luxurious amenities, Spa Utopia truly knows how to pamper their guests. Every aspect of our visit was thoughtfully considered, from the soothing music to the aromatic scents that filled the air. We also had the opportunity to indulge in some of the additional offerings at Spa Utopia, such as the relaxation lounges and awesome steam rooms. These added elements further enhanced our experience, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in a world of relaxation and tranquility. Overall, our visit to Spa Utopia in North Vancouver was nothing short of incredible. The combination of the breathtaking views, exceptional service, and attention to detail made for a truly unforgettable experience. Whether you're looking for a day of pampering or a weekend retreat, Spa Utopia is the perfect destination to indulge in comfort and luxury. And of course you can also enjoy all the array of teas, infused water, cocktails and beverages, as well as some light healthy snacks. The also carry an extensive range of wellness products to choose from to take the pampering home. Go enjoy ❤️ 🧘

I would have give -100 review if possible. The environment was great but not the service. I got my hair done and asked for caramel balayage. They booked me in for 4:30pm and i was right on time. Hair colourist was on training and did my color. She ruined my hair. She did everything in hurry because they were closing at 8 . I mean you shouldnt have book me in at first then. I wouldn’t be so disappointed if she didnt argue and agree to fix the hair. I clearly told i wanted caramel balayage she did something more blonde. And customer service is terrible. She said, “Ok, my mentor and I thought that was caramel but different people see things differently”. I still talked nicely and she cant do anything till march!!! Terrible experience!! The professional from other salon texted, “ Your colour needs to be filled and toned to a darker level. Your hair was over lightened to a point where the pigment for a caramel-brown tone wouldn’t have anything to stick to. You need the warmth put back in. Their placement of the lightener also shows that they only did half your head and the bottom was left out. I’m sorry this happened to you”

My comparison is the Grotto Spa in Parksville for context which I attend three times a year with my friend for a girls weekend.

My friend and I recently went to spa utopia for a 75 min facial.

-given it was a 75 min facial, not enough time was spent on the face, there was too much time dedicated towards extremity massage -the facial was overpriced, compare it to the 90 minute facial offered at the grotto spa in Parksville which includes use of their grotto pool and much more time is spent on the face ... I would encourage management of spa utopia to experience the 90 minute facial at the grotto spa -the treatment rooms were very cold, so cold my friend and I could not relax -the reception staff were unfriendly upon arrival and checkout, we felt that our presence was almost an inconvenience -my friend was told by the young woman that did her facial that she had ‘2 wrinkles’ why on earth would she say that? Obviously one knows if they have wrinkles -after treatment my friend was not offered snacks or a refreshment in the longe after her treatment so I shared mine with her as there was no server in the lounge to flag down ... which leaves me to suspect the woman who treated her was new or had limited training based on her comment to my friend and then not offering the complimentary snack and beverage that should have...
