Without a doubt, our most favourite area to visit on the north shore! And the Pier is the best spot to catch the most stunning views of DT Vancouver!

During the winter months, the Shipyards Arena turns into a skating rink and winter wonderland for everyone to enjoy! Skates and toys available for rent too.

During the Summer months, Shipyards hosts night markets and events every Friday night! Food trucks, locally made goods, treats, local artists, popular beer garden, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Bike rentals available if you want to ride along the seawall/trail. Spirit Trail runs right through Shipyards and Lonsdale Quay. It’s the longest trail in North Van and takes you right to the end at Ambleside beach! It’s about 9kms ride from Shipyards to Ambleside and it’s all trail so if you’re not comfortable riding on the road with vehicles, the trail is flat and easy! Young kids and people of all ages on the trail!

If I had to recommend a MUST-SEE place on the North Shore,...

There are great restaurants with ocean view patio options, and the Londsdale Quay just adjacent if you're more into take-out and having an al fresco picnic.

Also there is some pretty cool...

A pleasant place to hang. Always stuff going on. Or just enjoy a coffee or meal around the area. Lonsdale Quay is in the middle of a makeover, but it's not too disruptive. The market in the Quay is still operating and has plenty of shops to discover, including some yummy food stops.

On top of all of that, you get great views of downtiwn Vancouver as you stroll along. All this is accessible by a quick seabus ride from...
