Im quite pleased with the staff at this particular location. I’ve purchased a LOT from Canada Computers. That’s no lie. From my own 7800X3D/7800XT build, I had such a smooth experience I bought all components for my friends 7950X3D/4080S build here.
Bought my Gigabyte 1440P monitor here, and then bought my friends Gigabyte 4K monitor here as well.
Recently, we purchased upgrades for my friend who pulled his old rig out of the closet. On the AM4 socket, we went with the 5700X3D and an ASROCK 7800XT.
Unfortunately, the 5700X3D had two bent pins on the corner. Even weirder, both pins were in opposite directions. I had never seen that.
Upon return, I don’t know the associates name, but he did a good job trying to fix it. Unfortunately it looks like the pin was barely attached and fell off. Despite reading horror stories online, the process of sending it back was easy and we are just waiting to hear from the returns dept. Unlike what online people said, the entire return process was smooth and easy, and they talked me through everything!
The salesperson and manager were also very nice talking to me afterwards. We went with a 5800X3D so we could complete the build in the meantime, and I was told that even though they usually don’t do pin checks on CPUs (only motherboards), they let me take it out and thoroughly examine it to make sure it was all good before I purchased it!! Extremely happy with that! It slotted right into the motherboard at home and worked right away!
I’m very happy. I’ve probably interacted with 4 or 5 different employees purchasing all my stuff here. I wish I knew their names but I see them all the time so they’re the regular day crew I suppose. The guy who did the check on my monitors was very thorough and explained everything, and made sure everything was OK, which I was super pleased with. He was the same person who talked to me when making the build for my friend, explaining the pros and cons of the high end GPUs and what to expect with the 4080S vs other GPUs, and even showed better priced options! Didn’t try to upsell, just wanted us to get exactly what we needed.
I’m happy and writing this review specifically because I’ve spent thousands of dollars here and never once felt upsold to or talked down to. Which makes the place feel a lot less like a business trying to sell you what you don’t need and more like an actual computer enthusiast store focused on each customer and what they need. The mini consultations are always appreciated.

Read moreOn 02/02 we returned a laptop to Canada Computers Oakville. We had bought it the day before as an open box, but when we got home we noticed that the speakers didn't work. They hadn't checked it properly before putting it back on sale. That same day we selected another one (it was available online) in the same store and they told us that it was only available in Barrie but that they could transport it to the Oakville store for a small fee, which we agreed to. In front of us, the clerk who was helping us called the Barrie store and made arrangements to block and transport the computer to Oakville. They told us that everything would take between one and two weeks. They took our details, made a sales order with all the details of the computer, price, transport fee, customer information, etc. Two weeks later, without receiving a call or email from the store, we contacted them and they told us that it had not arrived yet, that they would speak to the supervisor to investigate the delay. We waited another week and contacted them again, as we had not received any communication from the store. The clerk who answered the phone told me that there was a note on their system saying that the computer had been "discontinued" and that they could no longer sell it; that someone should have contacted us (no one did). He then offered us the opportunity to come back again to his store to see other options as if nothing had happened. Having to spend time and fuel returning a defective product bought the day before and supposedly fit for sale, making the customer wait more than three weeks for another product coordinated for sale, no communication with the customer to inform them of the cancellation by the store in their purchase agreement with the customer and the "sudden way the computer went discontinued". It is a shame how unprofessional they work, either there is a lot of disorganization and lack of interest in what they do or there are other things that...
Read moreSince I started to deal with Canada Computers I am very happy with the service and attention provided to solve all my issues in terms of buying new components and/or repairing my desktop computer in two different occasions. Regarding repairs they are just great since in the first occasion RJ P, an excellent technician working for Canada Computers in Milton, did a very quick and precise diagnosis of my old gaming computer in 2018 and found that the problem was a failing video card. He spent time to recommend me the best and cheapest video card available and fully compatible with my system. Also suggested to pay attention because the next component to fail would be the HDD. The branch of Milton was closed for good 3 months after such repair, Actually my computer failed again and in this occasion the HDD was the cause. So I decided to go ahead again with Canada Computers after discussing this issue with many others different providers with no success. So I was incredible lucky to find again R J P. after checking in 3 different Canada Computer branches. Therefore, he did that again and rebuild my computer with the best and cheapest components compatible with some of my old components that are still working properly. R J P. was pretty good also for loading very old games (from 2003 and 2005) which I played with in my old PC that used window 7. Actually this rebuild was performed via Windows 10 Pro. In fact now , I have again almost a brand new computer with very good components which is capable to have a performance as good as brand new computers but a much lower price. Oakville's branch and R J P. policy is they are only happy if all the client's issues are fully solved and became happy too.
