So this my second time coming, first time was terrible because when they sat us down and gave us a drink and we looked at the menu to decide what we wanted to eat. That was the time that they told us that they only had one page of the menu available. The second time around we waited 40 minutes to get our food, when we tried to ask about our food they stopped us and ask if we wanted our bill. 2 other customers came after us and got their food before us and we were ahead of them by 10 minutes, finally when we got our soup it was cold(chicken netsu and creamy vegetarian) , the second time around, they did not add chicken in my soup. The broth was really salty, the other soup had a really fishy smell and it was a veggie soup( ordered it before in Mississuga location and didn’t smell like that or taste as well) . The tofu was old (not fresh and seems to be store bought) and a off white colour close to brown and hard. They gave our soup before our apps and they were cold (seemed like it was sitting for a while). We got the gyoza when we were done eating. Instead of trying to serve the customers and paying attention, one server was talking to her friends while the other server was worried about cleaning the tables even though they only had a few people eating. When we asked for our bill instead of giving it to us right away, the server decided to dry some dishes and made us wait another 10 minutes before giving our bill.
I advise people not to waste their time at this location, they have low standards and seems like they are amateurs when it comes to running...

I love tonkatsu ramen and chicken karrage, I order it at every ramen play I have gone to (in the Toronto area, I’ve sadly never been to Asia).
That said, both dishes were incredibly disappointing
The chicken karrage was dry and not very juicy. The coating itself was more like a breading, not the typical crunchy cornstarch coating, plus it was also incredibly bland, obviously not marinated in ginger, etc that other restaurants use. On top of that, for the amount that I got it was $11, almost double of what you would pay at a downtown ramen restaurant.
As for the ramen I went with the plain tonkatsu since I wanted to assess the wuakity of the broth. Definitely one of the worst tonkatsu broths that I have had yet, it was also a weak flavour that tasted off. The ramen noddles seem to be packaged noodles based on their shape and cut, not bad but certainly nothing special. The pork shoulder, another thing that I love was also very bland.
That said, the service was friendly and the establishment is nice and clean. Plenty of seating and good lighting to boot.
However, the place was actually quite busy when I came in and people looked pleased so they are obviously doing something right.
Overall, I was disappointed with everything I had and for someone who specifically likes tonkatsu ramen, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. I for one...
Read moreNot the same as the Kenzo on Burnhamthorpe by a long shot. Very poor service. Servers not only took long to get us our menus, but they forgot to bring us the water that we requested and the restaurant wasn't even full. Also the servers were uncoordinated and asked me several times if a tonkotsu ramen belonged to me when I specifically ordered king of kings. They also almost gave away our pork Katsu to another table. The food is also a lot worse than the Mississauga location as well. The pork Katsu is half the size of the other and the salad had just a tiny bit of dressing with massive uncut leaves making it awkward to eat. The portion size of the katsu should be larger if you expect someone to pay $12. The king of kings ramen is significantly smaller than the other locations. They skimped out on the broth as well, making the egg and other food on top cold. The charshu didn't have enough fat marbeling and was cut unevenly with some pieces that were too thick.
They were only open for 4 days but if the service and food do not improve I would be surprised if they last another 4 days. They need to take some pointers from the...
