Planet Laser — Attraction in Oakville

I went there on Saturday November 13th, 2021 with 7 adults total and had booked a party room for 2:30pm. I arrived at 2:25pm to set up the room but was told the party prior to us was still in the room and they will be leaving soon. I waited for 20 minutes and had asked to 2 different employees when they would be leaving or if they would be cleaning up any time soon. A person from that party room came out and let us know their room was delayed 45 minutes to an hour because of the party booked before. She let us know that they would be clearing out soon.

**Covid-19 protocols/policy: A number of patrons were not wearing their masks, no hand sanitizer out in arcade area or public space. No frequent sanitation of arcade game machines, laser tag vets/guns. If you're a germaphobe, I recommend that you do not come here. Party room plates, cutlery, napkins are all left out in a bin where multiple people have probably touched it before you.

When we finally got our party room, no one advised us when our game would be or when we would be receiving our pizza. When I spoke to an employee outside (the assistant manager), I let him know that this was disorganized and that the party room booking times were delayed. There shouldn't be bookings back to back especially if there should be cleaning between each use. His response was "we know how to do our job, and the people prior didn't want to leave so that is not our fault" He then let us know that they would call us for our first game in 5-6 minutes and that we'd get our pizza after. (this should have been communicated when we first checked in)

We played our first game and received 4 boxes of pizza (instead of 2 in the original order, there was a mix up but I honestly did not give af at this point). The very unpleasant assistant manager came in to our room and said "you have 4 pizzas. You're only supposed to get 2. Did you touch it?" and proceeded to take an open box of pizza out of our room. Not very hygienic if you're giving it to another party.

Overall, if you're coming to play laser tag with a group of friends and have all the time in the world, its an OK place to go. If you need to organize a party with a lot of people with time restrictions, I recommend going elsewhere. Some particular employees can use some training on communication and the space could definitely use...

Booked my sons birthday here and the whole way through was disorganized. Preliminary numbers were confirmed by a staff member the week before the party and I increased the pizza order to accommodate our expected group of kids and adults. I phoned to give the final numbers 2 days before the party and left a voicemail with a request to let me know they had received the final count as well as the increased food order. I did not hear back and so I phoned the day before the party to make sure the information was accurate and was informed that my initial number count from when they phoned me was not noted and that the increased number and food order from my voicemail was also not noted and that more food was not possible unless I paid more which I had already approved via phone call and voicemail and then in the middle of finalizing these details I was HUNG UP ON by the person. I thought for sure it must be a bad connection so I phoned back and asked if they had been cut off and the person said "our conversation was over" to which I responded that it absolutely was not as they STILL HAD NOT NOTED MY INFO after several calls where no one seemed to be able to write it down. For the price of $40 per kid, total party over $500 this is not the level of service that is expected. After all of this, when we arrived to the party on the day THEY STILL DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT NUMBER OF PIZZAS ORDERED OR THE CORRECT NUMBER OF KIDS WRITTEN DOWN- this is the basics of running a facility that claims to specialize in kids birthdays so I do not understand why this was so difficult. It was stressful all the way along and we have been sure to let our other parent friends know that this is not the place to book...

Wow, I honestly can't say enough amazing things about my son's birthday party at Planet Laser in Oakville! You know those rare times when something actually turns out BETTER than you hoped? This was definitely one of them!

Mustafa and his team... where do I even start? They were absolutely incredible! As any parent knows, hosting a kid's birthday party can be pretty stressful, but they took care of EVERYTHING. I got to enjoy watching my son and his friends having the time of their lives instead of running around worrying about details.

We had a family drive down from Woodbridge (which says a lot if you know GTA traffic!), and even they kept saying how worth the drive was. The best part? Both the kids AND adults got in on the laser tag action! Let me tell you, we parents were running around that two-level arena just as excited as the kids were! It was hilarious seeing all the adults get super competitive and into it. Such a fun way for everyone to let loose and play together. Even the typically shy kids got totally into it!

The staff seriously deserves a medal. They weren't just going through the motions you could tell they cared about making sure every single person, young and old, was having a blast. Mustafa kept checking in to make sure everything was perfect, and his whole team was just amazing with everyone.

I've been telling everyone I know about this place because it was just that good. Several of my friends have already booked their kids' parties here after seeing the photos and videos from our day.

Seriously, if you're stressing about where to host your kid's party, just book it here. Mustafa and the team will take such good care of you, they made our day perfect!...
