We’ve been there today. The owner is very friendly, accommodating & welcoming but as a value of what we got against what we paid, I find it very overpriced. We got two platters plus two drinks and we didn’t request any customization and I was shocked to find that we’ve been charged $64.86. I’m pretty much convinced that the advertised prices on the menu is not the same as the actual money paid. The bill I got doesn’t have any details of items. In general it was Ok but i won’t be returning.
Update after owners reply: 1- I can assure you again that what’s advertised is not the same as what we paid and I can even give examples. 2- There’s no mention at all that you have special prices depending on the time of the day guests coming in. 3- There was no mention at all about any “special” dine in prices 4- For containers, and since you’re mentioning it, I said that the food was OK as a compliment but the truth is that we didn't like it at all. Rice was over cooked and we didn't like the taste and smell of the meat. I found no value in starting the discussion with you that we didn't like the food since we won’t be returning anyway. My wife felt sick the moment she got some of the food and she went out to throw up then she returned back and tried some then threw up again when she asked for the washroom. The containers with the food were thrown into garbage later on. 5- I didn’t know that tipping is mandatory especially with such...
Read moreI needed a quick lunch as I was in the area and found this restaurant. I chose it due to the reviews and proximity to where I was. It was a major disappointment and I cannot understand the high reviews.
I called to order ahead of time. I just wanted a chicken shawarma wrap and salad. The man who took the order recommended I go with the combo as it was 'cheaper' and included a drink. I did pics of prices on the 'menu' section of the google listing, but the prices have dramatically increased so don't trust them.
When I arrived my order was ready. I was charged $21.47 and I was surprised. The man (who took order) said that if I had gotten a regular salad it would have been even more.
So I took it home to eat and was not impressed. The wrap was average size and practically fell apart when I removed the covering. The chicken was bland and not at all fresh tasting and a small portion. The veggies were decent enough but not much sauce in the wrap at all. I was asked if I wanted it spicy and I said medium and asked for hot and garlic sauce. I did not taste much sauce. The salad was in a tiny container and it was good, as far as salads go, just a small amount.
Overall it was way overpriced and not even close to worth it for the mediocre food and small portion sizes. I cannot recommend Sidra and with all the other superior Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurants, I will never return here even if I am...
Read moreREAD ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GET SCAMMED Edit Post Reply: Justifying charging $62 for what I ordered is just more proof that this is overpriced. If I can even keep 1 person from going and getting scammed, then this review will have done its job. I had only come to the restaurant 2 times before and my counterpart paid so I never noticed how ridiculously overpriced the food was. Shame on you. $62 for food other restaurants charge $40 or less. Never again. Also in your own menu, your charging $9 for fries... A handful of them too.... Need I say more? Oh and, I've seen your responses to others and I can see your response to me, clearly you don't understand customer service, not with that tone. You are, like others have mentioned, a terrible owner and way too full of yourself. You just lost a valuable customer forever. Actually, you lost much more than that because everyone will know just how terrible this place is.
Original Reply: The owner should be ashamed of himself for charging $62 for 2 wrap combos. He's charging $8 for just a handful of fries and $25 for a wrap that others seals for $12. He's selling a coconut water bottle for close to $10. He should be ashamed of himself. Great food, but not that great that I...
