What a warm and friendly welcome from the staff! It’s a small area but covers a lot of ground. The museum has no entrance fee but relies on donations from its patrons. There’s a gift shop as well that features a lot of locally-made items. The model ships are extraordinary! A lot of history to take in all at once; it’s nice to feel a part of something “big”.

An interesting and entertaining small museum right next to the docks. We’ve enjoyed our time here. They also have temporary exhibition on a ground level, which we hadn’t have time to see. A small gift shop also available. Admission by donation. Very welcoming staff!

Small and concise museum with only two floors of exhibits. The artifacts are interesting but not that much to see. It gives a good overview of the 1000 Islands geography and history. The best thing is that it is pay what you can.

Very nice and cute museum but wished they would close at 6pm on weekdays..4pm is too early..we come from afar..not sufficient time to visit the place properly and enjoy it,.they go by open donations which it’s really cool 😎

Visit this museum and learn about the history of Thousand islands. Very interesting especially if you have to spend some time while waiting for your tour. Very friendly people and great place to spend your weekend

Interesting exhibits and quaint little gift shop. Clean public restrooms. A welcome escape from the brutal July heat wave. Nice covered adjacent patio for watching the watercraft on the river.
