Confederation Park in Gananoque, Ontario is a very nice place to visit, especially with kids! My family and I recently had the pleasure of spending few hours at this park.
First and foremost, the park's location is great, if you are lucky enaugh you will be able to park right next to the park. Still, becauseit's situated in the heart of Gananoque, it's easily accessible and has plenty of parking available.
Confederation Park has walking trails along the waterfront, making it an excellent spot for a leisurely stroll or a family bike ride. The scenery is nice, and it was great to see geese and ducks all around the park:)
The park is clean and tidy, a testament to the efforts of the city and the community's care for this beautiful public space.
Location of the park is perfect if you want to take a walk along the street with little shops. There is nice antique store if you are interested in antiques. So Gananoque was very nice even outside of the boat tour. We walked a short distance to explore the local shops, you can also get some ice cream.

Read moreIt's a nice little Park. Sometimes it can be hard to find free parking almost everything in the area is pay parking with no signs saying if there's any time periods with free parking like there is in most cities such as maybe weekends or evenings. There's a lot of geese in the park so you got to be careful where you're stepping but hey that's nature. Stay away from that little ice cream shop near the bridge. There's a list of flavors and you can stand in line for 15 minutes just to get up to the beginning of the line to go oh we don't have that we don't change the sign because things change so frequently. When you get up to the counter there's only like four or five flavors out of the nearly 15 maybe 20 that are listed. I can understand not wanting to have to rewrite the board every time something changes but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out just put a piece of paper over the one you don't have in...
Read moreThis is a lovely little spot for a picnic lunch and a refreshing break in nature. There is a pretty water fountain and created water fall feature where swans, geese and other water birds meander about to entertain viewers. The park is well groomed with floral gardens and sculptures. There is green space on both sides of the Gananoque River and a lovely bridge which provides plenty of photo opportunities. There are several benches and picnic tables throughout some offering much needed shade during the...
