We visited on a Sunday afternoon in the summer to get out of the heat. It was very air conditioned and nice inside! We brought our baby along, and unfortunately it is not stroller accessible. The wheelchair entrance is a lift and there is no access to the bottom/basement level or top floor except by stairs. We carried her instead. We were told there is a changing pad but it is located outside, so we changed her on a bench in the basement instead. There was a colouring activity set up in the basement for children as well as a scavenger hunt throughout the house, so this would be a good spot to bring kids. The washrooms that we visited were not accessible but were gender-neutral. The staff were also very friendly :) Worth a visit...

We dropped in here in a Saturday at 10:00am.There is limited parking beside the house. It was after 10:00 am and we rang the door bell. A nice lady answered and apologized saying they were setting up. We paid $8 for adults. And I entered the September draw for a basket of goodies and a quilt- 3 for $5. It’s a beautiful house with beautiful antiques that have been donated. They are building a kitchen in the basement and it will be finished the end of July. There is a long table with supplies for kids to make crafts And a bookcase shelf with card and board games. This historical house is open all year round, including Halloween and Christmas. The curators are both friendly and it’s worth the visit if you’re...

Very worthwhile historical tourist attraction - with a surprisingly large floor space of meticulously maintained original and replicated furnishings. If you like history and museums, you'll find yourself intrigued by the originality and intricate detail put into the historically accurate renovations.

The staff is VERY knowledgeable about all aspects of the estate, from design and typical use of the many areas of the house for entertaining to architectural features. None of my questions (often relating to very specific aspects) were left unanswered.

This is a hidden gem that took me by surprise, as I expected that there would be far less to experience considering only hearing...

Beautiful Home! Amazingly well kept inside and out! Takes you to a different elite era of the wealthy back in the 1880's. Some items are real classics and some items are a replica. The woods and designs throughout on the walls and floors are spectacular. The heavy wood tables, sideboards and armoires are intricately designed and stunning to see up close. The carpet on the stairs, bedrooms and dining room are beautiful. Wish we could see the kitchens in the servants quarters but that is not available unfortunately. I still recommend you see this historic site.
