The perfect little area for less active individuals to enjoy nature up close. Take your seniors and kids! You’ll see turtles and most likely ducks, geese, maybe swans. If you look closely you may see other critters too. I haven’t seen a snake in the loop before but I have seen snakes along the trail at other points.
Since parking is nearby there is almost no distance from the lot to the loop. For those with mobility aids, the parking lot is gravel, and you will need to go over a small muddy/grass patch between the lot to the walking trail. The trail itself is paved, and the loop is paved and has some cobblestone-esque areas. There is a small bridge with a bit of a climb in the loop but nothing too crazy.
If you are travelling here from downtown by mobility aid you should be fine, you will cross a train track and be going on a downhill decline and be going through residential areas. Most of the way is paved until the parking lot, but sidewalks are sparse. Not a high traffic area, but there is traffic.
If you are looking for a more private experience by yourself this may not be it for you, the nicer it is outside the busier it’ll be.
Lots of seating areas. Picnic tables are typically nearby. Large grass lawn nearby good for...
Read moreThis is a great place to stop by when you're walking the Bayshore trail or just taking someone to visit the turtle 🐢 pond. There is a turtle sun bathing area, and there are usually lots to see. There is plenty of parking, and you can easily walk to the playgrounds of the trail. I got lucky yesterday and caught a family of 6 swams entering the water👍.This area is very busy and one of the local favorites to explore and enjoy the Bayshore. I would recommend visiting this place to anyone. Give...

The location is pretty and easy to access from the parking lot with free parking. Good amount of shade available. Pretty views of the water with more water fowl there. Nice memory lane to...
