Fun farmer's market with lots of neat little stands. Majority of stands have local organic products. Lots of different local stuff to take home and meals to eat there as well. Family friendly...a good time!
There is plenty of parking here with public washrooms too (surprisingly, kept in good condition considering how busy it is)! We were there around 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. It was crowded but much better (i.e. overall experience) than the one downtown Kingston, Ontario in our opinion. People seem friendlier here. Got the sense that a lot of vendors and locals know each other by name but they still made us feel welcome being first-timers.
We tried Japanese organic veggie pancakes (two different flavours) and specialty coffees (turmeric specialty coffee + black forest cake coffee) at different stands. We actually didn't like the flavour of the pancakes and the coffees were too rich for our liking but the vendors were friendly and knowledgeable. we appreciated the effort, organic ingredients, and care from the vendors we visited. Just because it wasn't our taste preference, we can acknowledge how some people would be drawn to those items. The pancake stand had a lot of neat fermented products and their homemade ketchup was good.
Bought organic kale, jerusalem artichokes, and spinach at another stall - very fresh!
This market is extremely doggie-friendly - TONS of dogs walking around hoping for something to drop :p. There's a gated off-leash dog park at the other side of the parking lot too if your pooch wants to play, run, etc. Tired doggo = happy doggo! We bought our doggo a few bags of treats plus some freshly baked goods for pooches (which he devoured). Lots of fun for doggies of all breeds!

As the weather cools, the supervised bike parking has ended. However, there were still tons of cyclists and pedestrians. Most people park in the street, but the memorial market itself has a large parking area.
It is easy to walk to and from, however.
And if you're worried about the reusable bags you forgot, there's a community bin of them with a "take one, leave one" a system in place.
Plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit on, or free picnic blankets.
If you're eating while you're still at the Centre, you get a real plate and utensils (the market cleans them up); vendors who provide takeaway do so in environmentally friendlier receptacles...
Read moreGreat local, community based farmers market. Stalls are vetted by a committee to make sure they're actually locally made or grown products, so no bananas like the downtown market. Typically has some produce stalls, some preserve stalls, artisan stalls, and food stalls. Food is very good and ranges from $3-$14 depending on what you want. Most vendors also offer frozen versions of their food. Yoga and Tai chi and games for kids also available. Lots of parking in the memorial centre parking lot. Kid friendly and easily manoueverable with mobility issues. Come just to walk around and people watch or bring cash to have some lunch and get...
