Brockville Rainway tunnel, this tunnel that is more than 150 years old is really amazing! ! ! 😍 It was originally a railway tunnel. After various changes over the years and various transformations, it was finally opened to tourists in 2017. The entire tunnel is only over 500 meters long, but it is very impressive under the background of various LED lights, and water will occasionally drip down, which makes the experience full. 🥰 After passing through the tunnel, you will see the "Wizard of Oz" (because the riverside is full of all kinds of things🌲). It feels really good to travel from the tunnel to the Wizard of Oz and the blue sky and white clouds in one second. ❤️ 🗺Location: Brockville Railway tunnel, ON, Canada🗺 💰Tickets: Free. 💰 ⏰Opening hours: 9 am to 9 pm. (For safety reasons, it will be closed in winter, around October)⏰ 📍Address: Google map navigation Ontario Brockville Railway tunnel📍(about half an hour’s drive from the Thousand Islands Cruise Terminal) 🚗Transportation: Personally, I think the best mode of transportation is self-driving, and there are free parking lots at the entrance and exit of the tunnel. 🚗

Great activity to stretch your legs during a roadtrip! We stopped here on our way to Kingston for a picnic and a walk and loved it. There are a couple of picnic tables near the entrance to the tunnel and the view is really beautiful. Walkng the tunnel takes +/- 15 mknutes and an be done during the day or at night. The lights are a nice touch and the billboards tell the story in an easy to understand way. We were alkne when we visited (on a Friday night) which made it even more special.

Definitely a hour of your life well spent, the tunnel changes as you go threw it from the different building techniques they had to use. The lights really allow every inch of rock to stand out, the sounds of the trains make you feel like your on the train when it still ran. Everything about this exhibit Is very well put together and for the price of nothen, you really can't go wrong

The Brockville Railway Tunnel is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone traveling through the area! It’s Canada’s first railway tunnel, and the way it’s been preserved and modernized for visitors is really impressive. The combination of history and modern technology makes it a unique experience.

What I Loved:

Spectacular Light Show: As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a stunning LED light show that changes colors and patterns as you walk through. The music that accompanies it enhances the experience and creates a captivating atmosphere. It feels like stepping into a time machine with a modern twist. Historical Significance: The tunnel is not just visually amazing, but it’s packed with history. There are plaques and signs along the way that provide interesting facts about its construction and use, giving a deep appreciation of its significance in Canadian railway history. Perfect for All Ages: Whether you’re visiting solo, with friends, or with family, it’s an experience everyone can enjoy. Kids were having a blast with the lights, and history buffs will appreciate the detailed information. Clean and Well-Maintained: The tunnel itself is very clean, and it’s clear that the city of Brockville takes pride in maintaining this attraction. The walking path is well-lit and even, making it accessible for all.

Tips for Future Visitors:

Dress for Comfort: The tunnel is quite cool inside, which is a great escape on hot days, but you might want to bring a light jacket if you’re visiting on a cooler day. Take Your Time: It’s not very long, so I recommend walking slowly to fully take in the light display and read all the informative plaques. Photography Heaven: If you’re into photography, this place offers great opportunities for capturing the interplay of light and shadows.

Overall Experience:

Walking through the Brockville Railway Tunnel is a surreal experience that mixes past and present in a very unique way. It’s a wonderful stop if you’re in Brockville, and I’d highly recommend visiting during the evening when the light effects are...
