This trail either needs a whole lot of work or just to be shut down in general. I came here today with my dog and the first thing I noticed is that the trails are no longer marked. There’s no directions as to which way you’re going at all, and with all the little side trails, people have made over time. It’s hard to know if you’re actually going the right way. After my experience today, no young woman should be walking this trail alone. There are so many homeless encampments throughout the trail and strange men that just walk around like zombies. And because if there being so many homeless people, the trail is just littered with garbage and I expect that it’s only a matter of time before it’s littered with needles and glass. I understand that the city of London can only do so much considering it’s a public space, however I don’t feel safe coming back here knowing the amount of homeless people and the fact that we got lost since trails are not marked and there’s no map and not even arrows pointing which direction you should go in. It really is a shame as the scenery was once beautiful, but is now filled with tents...
Read moreWestminster Ponds is hands down one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. The moment I stepped onto the trail, I felt like I had entered a different world — quiet, calm, and surrounded by the purest form of nature. I went there with a friend, and it turned out to be the most refreshing and soul-soothing experience we’ve had in a long time.
We spent hours walking through the scenic trails, breathing in the fresh air, listening to birds, and feeling completely present in the moment. The ponds were absolutely stunning — peaceful reflections of the sky and trees that made us just stop and admire. It’s rare to find a place where you can disconnect from the busy world and truly reconnect with yourself and nature.
Spending time there filled me with joy and a deep sense of peace. It wasn’t just a walk or a visit — it was a beautiful memory, and I left feeling lighter, happier, and more grounded. Westminster Ponds is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape, reflect, or simply feel alive in the...
Read moreGreat little nature oasis in the heart of the city. Westminster Ponds has trails and short boardwalk areas around the ponds, with lots of nature to take in, including spring flowers, migrating birds etc. The trails are marked well, but can be quite wet during rainy periods, today we saw many people turn and go back due to muddy conditions. Some brush is thick making bird watching difficult but if you look hard there are lots of interesting species to be found. Also the trails see not well laid - out , they branch off in several directions throughout the course of the trails and there is really no clear direction as to which way is which. We actually had to use our gps to navigate out of the woods. In general a great day out on the nature trails, but could use some garbage cans, clearer markings, more boardwalks closer to the water etc and this would be a hikers...
