Fantastic, the kids loved it. I must say, the place has expanded. It is a huge facility and kudos to whoever came up with the idea to use this space in this way... especially in our long winters. They had so many amazing games to play, 5-pin and 10-pin bowling, I could not keep up with them.
What happened next is very interesting. So, I watched the boys climb the stairs from the bottom to go on a VR roller coaster....oh wait, sooo much seating everywhere..wow. I have a little mobility issue and let me tell you how I could sit down anytime I felt I needed to without being far away from them or having to search for a seat. Fantastic!! I love how they placed a bunch of bikes together as the kids went through their course showing on the video, lots of Vegas looking lights and action. The place is fabulous for parents and children, there's so much to do for everyone individually or as a family...but I digress. As I was saying, I noticed something interesting about the place. The floors were so very clean. I wondered to myself, there are so many people here, how do they do this..then I noticed people walking around with dust bins looking like they took this thing seriously. The reason why it's interesting is that I went to the ladies room before leaving...did I not lose my keys?? It was not a good situation. How am I gonna get home? I had my husband's key, my car key, house key, mailbox, everything. I asked my son to check if he sees it and talk to lost and found staff. He came back and said..no, they said that no keys were returned.
Ok, it's possible but I could not believe it. I retraced my steps, absolutely nothing was on the floor..it was so clean. Someone picked up my keys or it would still be visible on the floor unless they were keeping it for a souvenir, lol
I went back to front desk and asked a lady if a set of keys were turned in, she said no but she didn't go anywhere to check nor was she the only one accepting lost items. I walked around a bit, praying that God would come to my rescue and he sure did.
Went back to the front desk and went to a different group of workers. I said to them, did anyone turn in a set of car keys.... while my heart was beating fast..I KNEW he was going to say YES. His next question was what kind of vehicle was it for etc. He went to look and came back with my keys....heart still beating cause I needed to see the house keys as I can't just go to anywhere to copy them, have to go to the supplier with muy password etc.. soon as I saw them, I breathed a sigh of relief.
In Summary The place is very clean which is why I'm certain someone saw my keys and saved me a lot of trouble. If it was one of you reading this....thank you!!
Price It's great for parties, events etc and families. I would say overall the prices are pretty good but you really have to manage your spend because these kids would have kept me there all night and finish off my money.
Yes, Go. Next time I will cut out the bowling and let the kids spend all their credits on the multiple fun stations available. They can bowl on a separate day.
Come to Men's Fun World, you will have...
Read moreOur experience here was good so I'm giving a 4 star because some factors they can't control.
Place is massive with lots for the kids to do. Bowling, arcades, mini put, indoor playground, roller coaster+rides. Lets start with the arcades, good choice of games with some of the bigger games for the older kids set out near the indoor playground. My kids 5/8 enjoyed the variety.
The indoor playground was large but there was what seemed to be 2 different camps there at the time with grade 4/5's maybe and they were extremely aggressive. The place employs one person to check bands and then it's a free for all and with 1 caregiver for each big group - we only spent about 30 minutes in the play structure before we got teary eyed kids. $14 per kid. Not the places fault as they have to run a business but I wonder if there is an opportunity to do something different here.
The rides were great for my aged children and they enjoyed the roller coaster, chronoz, speedway and bumper cars. All I'd say were run well except there was a lad that worked the ChronoZ on the day we visited on August 28 and he DID NOT want to be there. Mumbled under his breath, didn't give clear instructions and my wife ended up separated from our kids because he was SO SLOW to act, other kids all took the seats (even though we were first in line). Everyone can't be perfect and we didn't run into any other issues with staff.
Price: So this is where I felt the place lost a star for me. We spent $100 on credits for the 2 kids plus an additional $28 for the play structure. Each ride runs you about $3-$4 and are relatively short and each arcade runs you about $1 per game and last mere seconds. Not sure if this is normal at arcades but it felt like our credits were dissolving in quick sand. I can understand for weekends but not sure if there is an opportunity for them to do a promo on less busy weekdays for a combo that includes a meal. We ate outside because there's a Chick Fil A right...
Read moreOur visits to NEBS have always been a hit with my kids; there's plenty for them to do and stay engaged. However, our recent experiences have been marred by a particular employee at the ticket counter whose demeanor has left us a bit disheartened.
During our last visit, we patiently waited for about 20 minutes at the busy counter, which was understandable given the crowd. However, it would be beneficial to have a more organized system for lining up at this spot. My kids and I stood at the main counter, but when the staff member finally came over, she gave me a dirty look, bypassed us, and directly served the person behind me. This initial interaction set the tone for what followed.
Despite our exhaustion after a few hours at NEBS, my kids wanted to use the rest of their tickets before leaving. Unfortunately, the same employee at the counter continued with her passive-aggressive behavior when my husband approached. This consistent attitude was disappointing, especially in a family-oriented environment.
I understand the challenges of a bustling workplace, having autism myself, but as someone who employs others, I value respectful and courteous customer interactions. I believe a simple acknowledgment of oversight or a polite apology could have diffused the situation.
Despite these issues, I don't hold the owners responsible. NEBS is a fantastic establishment built with care and dedication. We'll definitely return, hoping for a more positive experience. I urge the staff to remember the significance of families' visits, both financially and emotionally, and strive for better customer relations, especially in a place meant...
